As an aside from the constant “it’s brutal and dead hard in the Championship,” nonsense, quite interesting watching Boro Cov. Majority of the players are the same bodyshape/physique; stocky, athletic and carrying more muscle. No real skinny tall Doucoure types, no room for any creative but slow players, certainly no super lightweight speed merchants. Just 22 tattooed strong athletes running about, all with decent pace if not frightening pace. Interesting.

Are these the sorts of players that succeed in the Championship, so teams just fill the squad with them? Or do the players without the high enough quality all just go for strength and solidity once they realise this is their level.

City as a unit would destroy both of them in 20mins. But if you just dropped just Bernardo Silva on his own into the midfield tonight I’m not sure how he’d fair.

One things for sure, both these teams devour Lampards Everton, even though they are technically pretty gash.

The only people that think we'll fold are you and the daily mail, so that should give you a big boost straightaway!

But seriously I will do the math later but with the 1st year parachute payment and the sale of Pickford along with the jettison of high earners like Mina and Doucoure and we will probably be there or thereabouts how much we earn to how much we spend. As time goes on it may become an issue if we can't get back but in all liklihood we would get promoted after a few seasons.
