Forgot to also add that if Leicester win both their remaining matches by a single goal, we can still get to safety with a 9 nil victory on Sunday.

This is by far my favourite scenario.

A big loss for Leicester would help with us with goal difference, -18 current to our -24.

I think we need to win Sunday because you play for a draw, you are asking for trouble.

DCL and Patterson out most likely so hopefully we have Mykolenko back plus hopefully Godfrey.

We need to keep to a 4 at the back and move McNeil more forward where he is better used.

For me, Gray starts ahead of Maupay and Onana drops to the bench.

Pickford
Holgate - Mina - Tarkowski - Mykolenko/Godfrey
Garner - Gueye
Iwobi - Doucoure - McNeil
Gray

I hadn't looked into Newcastle's situation - they still need a point tonight to be home and dry. Even if Newcastle lost both games narrowly 1-0, Liverpool could have them on goal difference given they're up against Southampton at the weekend. Any losses over 1 goal and they're in trouble

They will be right up for it and juiced up to the eyeballs tonight make no mistake about that. The opportunity to get it done in front of a home crowd too.

What did Jimmy Hill have to do with it?

Jimmy Hill got the scoreboard guy to flash up the Sunderland result (we actually beat them at Goodison) and then Coventry let Bristol City pass the ball about in their own half for 15 minutes as a draw kept them both up at Sunderland’s expense.

Everyone loves saying that Leicester can’t do this or Leeds definitely can’t do that. It’s football - anything could happen.
Sheff Wed got beat 4-0 and then won 5-1 against the same side just days later. Crazy results happen.

The margins are so slender - Leeds actually were much better than a sleepy West Ham in that first half the other day, were 1-0 up and dominating. West Ham went ahead on the narrowest of VAR offside calls.

It’s impossible to make confident predictions about any end of season game.

What game were you watching? Leeds were better until they went in front and then West Ham completely dominated the game. I know you love Leeds but they are turd mate. They didn’t look like scoring again once West Ham equalised.

The probability swing that can occur tonight is terrifying. If Leicester lose I’d say we’re probably about 85% staying up, but if Leicester win we’re probably about 70% plus going down.
It's really crazy. Also if Leicester draw it rules out the possibility that a draw will be enough for us (given leeds don't win by 3 goals)

Yeah once West Ham eventually got going there was only ever going to be one winner there really.

Not really to be honest. The goal difference is highly unlikely to be a factor with Leicester.

If they lose heavily tonight it would narrow the gap on GD yes. But then the only way GD becomes a factor is if they win Sunday and we lose on Sunday, in which case they would just extend their GD advantage again.

The only way GD could become a factor is if they lose by close to double figures! We just need them to lose, or at worst, draw.

West Ham went back to sleep once they had equalised. Leeds were crap in the 2nd half, no doubt.

I only asked because Jimmy Hill was a massive Fulham supporter, and I can't think why he'd have been bothered about any
of those clubs.

Unless he had a bet on.
