Today feels like relegation "and worse" is inescapable.

Window almost closed, loan changes his mind and goes to Spurs, manager sacked, players not turning up for training, players training on their own, Allerdyce being considered, civil war between the board and fans.

I've though for a while this is probably the season we go down. But today it seems a certainty.

clearly if we’re selling players moshiri is probably guna sell the club - in feb
Very unlikely. For a start if players are sold the money belongs to Everton FC and not the owner, he can't just take money from the bank account. Also, Everton FC's value is now probably the lowest it has been in quite a while and even if you are relegated the odds are you would come straight back up which would boost the value. And then there is the stadium, Everton will be worth a lot more once that is completed and he would be daft to sell before that. If players are being sold to raise funds it is probably to raise cash for the continued development costs of the stadium which I believe has gone up from 500m to 780m?

Theoretically it can disappear but practically it can't. The assets and brand are too valuable and the potential to make a profit from them is very high. Yes, the club can fall further down and could get close to administration or liquidation but there would be a queue of people happy to bail it out before it disappears. It could then be purchased for a very low amount and an investor could make a killing. Four and a half years ago Villa came within 24 hours of administration and someone stepped in and picked it up on the cheap. The big old English football clubs will always have a buyer if they look like going to the wall

Ok, it’s not inescapable in anyway….

Please see that there is a way out of this. We aren’t adrift of safety, and we’ve got loads of time left inthe season.

that’s the good news. But last year, I knew we’d be ok, this year? It will take a coach to get a tune out of a very average squad, a squad that has zero confidence

Chin up kid, it’s far from over.

So was Villa when we nearly went to the wall. The real benefit of sinking to rock bottom is that u get a complete clear out of staff and the vast majority of players. It is a rough process to go through but if u get lucky with the right owners it could be worth it. The key thing for EFC is to get the club sold and tbh, and I can't see that happening until the new stadium is built. I suspect u guys are going to be disgruntled for the next 18 months or so and only then you will be able to look forward imo.

It would be escapable if we had an owner and board who were remotely comptent at runninga football club. Ours sadly are not. That is why we find ourselves in our current predicament.

Lets just remember that if the worst happens then no matter who leaves the club I have you, you have me and we'll all still be here supporting the Blues.

24 different clubs have won the league at least once since since the first ever season in 1899'ish. 11 of those currently don't play in the top tier. If we go down, we will make that 12 or therefore 50 percent of those teams.

I hate to think of that team being us.

Another Villa fan here . Good luck with the relegation fight . You’re still bang there with a fighting chance. I’m not saying relegation was the best thing to happen to us but it enabled us to rebuild , although we made plenty of expensive mistakes on the way . Hopefully the fanbase can drag your great club over the line. Chin up UTV

Right now, we're as good as gone.

What we do in the next few days bringing in a couple of players and the next few weeks with bringing in a manager could keep us up.

Three good appointments can save our season, I just don't think the board has it in em.
