I am not convinced Leeds have necessarily done the right thing. Their performance level was pretty decent and with the new players the results could have followed. The timing is not good. Dyche had a whole week with us to prepare. Leeds have a game midweek then on the weekend. Can’t see a new manager being on the training pitch until Thursday at the earliest
It seems like the American connection is what convinced a number of their players to sign. They weren't great against Forest but they hadn't given up. This could easily backfire on them. I think they should have waited a little longer.

In my opinion we have a better team than our place on the table and Saturday showed that. Frank slowed us down and this got absolutely ugly after awhile. I truly believe Dyche will do wonders with the squad and wouldn’t surprise me if we have stay up easily.

Our first 11 absolutely...our squad depth is by far the worst in the league. No injuries to key players, including dcl, and we should be alright. A few key injuries in key games, ans we'll struggle massively. Arsenal was good...but that was one game. We'll need consistency and a lot of luck with injuries.

Just been looking at the #JonesOut hashtag on Twitter, he’s toast. The Southampton fan base have mobilised, and want him gone.

I’m a little uneasy with Leeds and (likely) Southampton changing their managers soon after us.

I wish we’d made the managerial change after the second Bournemouth defeat, nervy times.
Agreed. But I incorrectly thought lampard might have gone to early at that stage, and a transfer window might have changed things - and it was another managerial merry go round happeneing. After the Brighton match think we all saw the change was needed.
Leeds and Southampton are shopping in the same pool as us and there is t a lot of managers available. Dyche would have taken one of those jobs if we hadn’t acted.
Bielsa back to Leeds would lift a lot of people though.

Imagine if the league does something drastic, and relegates Man City, and its the only reason we stay up.

Would never happen but....imagine?
If they were to relegate City then with all the appeals and legal wrangling I’m not sure the following season would even be able to start. Based on the number and severity of the charges they probably should be relegated but I imagine the PL will do everything to avoid this scenario.

I suspect whenever the verdict is delivered the strongest thing they will go with is a points deduction for the following season as they will want to avoid the disruption and uncertainty an appeals process would have over whichever current season it is.

I agree and hope it turns out to be right. I think a big part of the reason we gave Frank too much time in hindsight was because he remained largely popular in the dressing room and if you sack a popular manager you risk a dressing room split and a mixed reception for a new manager. Frank should’ve gone earlier (after Southampton at the very latest) but by leaving it until it was absolutely inevitable we avoided that risk. Not even the most loyal player could’ve argued against the decision.

Marsch seems broadly popular with his players and of course there are players directly there to play with him. The reaction might not be what Leeds hoped for.
