Have to say it was criminal not to get centre forward in transfer window. To stay up we have to score goals, and I really can’t see where they are coming from.
It’s absolutely criminal. I can understand not wanting to blow the Gordon money on overpriced second rate players late in the window but they could’ve got SOMEONE, a loan or a cheapo late on who could play the way Dyche needs a target man to play. It’s like they’ve collectively got their head in the sand about Dom’s injury problems. We’d have been better off keeping effing Rondon.

We’re struggling to score goals whilst Richy and Danjuma both sat on the bench again for Spurs tonight.

They’d probably both start for 3/4 of PL teams. ?

He needs help. He cant be left to play a lone target man. Neither can Maupay...and if we played Gray up there, neither can he.
He will get help at home with docoure/onana pushing up. Harder to do away.

I don’t think it’s really worth playing simms and maupay together away from home tbh for what they’d add. I’d rather we tried to keep solid and nick some points (like we could have done last night)

The fact is there are no solutions. We needed two attackers in January or I thought we’d be certain to go down, the dyche factor and arsenal win was a pleasant factor.

Ultimately - they left Lampard here too long but I don’t think that was even the fatal blow. The fatal blow is not strengthening in January. Moyes talked of bringing knives to gunfights…Dyche might as well be bringing a paper airplane to a gun fight.

No new manager bounce on Saturday then. Caretaker manager may well do fine but can’t imagine this is what they envisaged when sacking Marsch. He’ll have a new job before they’ve replaced him.

Good for us. Given how theyve collapsed post Marsch, I doubt they get any new manager bounce. I can see it being another Southampton moment.

I agree. The failure to get even one player in has made this touch and go.

Really is unforgivable.

I would have laughed in your face if you told me 12 months ago if you to,d me we’d be in a worst position and sold Gordon and Richarlison and didn’t replace them with the funds. Should never be forgotten or forgiven, no way back.

If Dyche pulls off keeping us up he’s done an absolutely astoundingly incredible job.

Leeds have Saints at home after they play us. Lose to them Saturday and you’re possibly looking at being 7 points behind. Then it’s curtains because we ain’t making that up.

The board are dead. They might be dragging their zombie forms into away stadiums, but they'll be well advised to continue to stay away from Goodison until they're all officially replaced in the summer - probably after a takeover or investment.

They have City away after that.

Beat Leeds and then build on it against Villa.

If we do that I'd make us favourites to stay up.

Collapsed post Marsch? They have only had 2 games - got a really decent draw at Old Trafford and then played very well against them at home, were unlucky to lose.

Leeds then Villa at home. Two wins and that would be three wins in four since Lampard was sacked. I Just can’t see us winning three in four to be honest, it’s just not Everton, but as you say we would be in a strong position if we could win both
