We have to stay in with a fight. Nottingham Forest isn't "a must win or we're down", provided we can beat Brentford at Goodison.

4 points from the next 6 would be brilliant.

If we go down, the board have nobody to blame other than themselves. Their negligence has condemned the club.

We don't need to win, a draw would be ok. A loss and we are in enormous trouble, and I struggle to see a path to safety.

Arsenal are the best team in the league. We were expected to get beaten comfortably and we did.

We've conceded 21 goals in our last 4 appearances at the Emirates and we've won just once at Arsenal in the last quarter of a century.

It's not like losing 5-2 at home to Watford under Benitez.

We must gain some points from our next two matches, though, otherwise I fear we are doomed. A minimum of 2.

4 points from the next 6 is in my pessimistic list!! It is the other 11 matches that are seriously frightening

On your list, Bournemouth is away, but thankfully it's at Goodison.

We're on 21 points. I think we need 15 more points to get to what is usually safety at 36 points. 36 was enough in 2021/22, 29 in 2020/21 and 35 in 2019/20. Since the Prem began, on average, you only need 36 and the way this season has gone I think that's a safe assumption.

13 games remaining - 6 home, 7 away.

Nottingham Forest A
Brentford H
Chelsea A
Tottenham H
Man Utd A
Fulham H
Crystal Palace A
Newcastle H
Leicester A
Brighton A
Man City H
Wolves A

I admire your optimism, and I’m not usually one for giving up at all, but this is different. I reckon it’s a coping mechanism - preparing myself for relegation to soften the blow combined with literally decades of disappointment with Everton.

Of course we could still theoretically gather enough points to stay up, but I think the reality is we’d need to win what, at least five games with zero attacking threat. It’d be a case of grinding out 1-0 wins each time, probably with goals through set pieces. That is a massively-talk order.

Goodison is a different proposition.

I’m going to be wildly optimistic and ignore the last 50 minutes yesterday, because before we conceded we were right in the game. Exactly the same as Liverpool.

I think if you can perform like that against sides who aren’t as clinical as Liverpool and Arsenal you’ve got every chance.

Villa was hugely disappointing, but we didn’t play bad. As long as we don’t concede the first goal, we will get the wins.

Every game under Dyche so far, I've felt if we had a decent striker we'd be right in it.

All comes down to Calvert-Lewin's fitness, IMO.

Forget Arsenal away. I fancy us at Anfield more than I ever do Arsenal away. It's our worst game in the league.

Let's ask the people who predict the most right in our Pickem league...

What are you saying, are we staying up or are we doomed?

Doomed.

Stand by sacking Lampard earlier may have helped. The 6 points we gifted at home to Wolves and Southampton will come back to bite us in the arse. I don't even think it'll go to the final game this time around. If DCL was fully fit and firing i'd think a little differently, but without him and Richarlison to pull us out of the mess this year I don't see any other candidates stepping up.

No mate, I was corrected and did a revised list a few posts above - # 10284

I got the last 4 fixtures off the OS early this morning, which listed the whole season and these 4. were the wrong way round. OS has now got them correct and in a new format starting with the Forest game

I'd bite your hand off for it to go down to the final day. Think we'd do Bournemouth if it came down to it at Goodison.
