Palace have taken 5 points in 9 games in 2023 and are 6 points away from the bottom 3, with 13 games to play. They are definitely not safe from relegation.
Don't matter. They only need about 10 more points and I think they have the players for it, unlike us who needs at least 15 points. Impossible. We're down.

Admittedly after that it looks better but by April, we will be right in it.

We have once again set a new Premier league record by becoming the first team to be relegated 27 times between 3 and 5pm yesterday

I guess there are a few double negatives in there, which is the reason we are probably still playing a prem league match today

All I can say is we are very lucky to do so

It's not blue-tinted at all. It's fatalistic. I think we're gone. But - negative as I am about these players - the truth is Bournemouth got exactly the same as we did from their wonderful effort at Arsenal: sweet squat all. And that is a corrosive thought for them. They were great...and still got nowt.

Our idiots have expended absolutely nothing in getting the same outcome. Will it make a difference? Probably not. But they certainly won't be exhausted today after their sterling efforts at the Emirates, whereas poor Bournemouth might well be limping, mentally as much as physically, to their next game.

All of this is largely academic if we lose today. This is the acid test for me. As far as I am concerned, it's a must win. So, I'll be more relaxed about our fate come this evening. Lose and I will put to bed any mental notions that we'll escape. We won't. We'll be in it for a while, scrapping away, but this is a bellwether game for us. It will tell us what we are really capable of, drag a direct rival back, take us out of the drop zone - or do the opposite: set Forest free, cement ourselves over the trap door, and, basically, wave goodbye to the top flight.

If you dont get the result a performance can still carry momentum into following games. If you have to lose id rather go down scrapping than rolling over. The latter is far more damaging for morale.
We have a very different point of view on this. Which is fair enough.

Our away form is diabolical. It is amongst the worst of all the teams of all the major leagues of Europe and has been for years.

Really can't see us getting a point out of this one.

For me the big game this month is Brentford at home. Lose today AND lose against Brentford at home and we will really be in a difficult situation in terms of staying up.

At the bottom none of the teams are going to play well every week or have any kind of consistency. So all this ‘look how Bournemouth did v Arsenal’ is a bit pointless as there’ll be another example of them getting absolutely battered in a fixture that Everton didn’t. If you’d team is having one of its good performances though you want them to count for points (like we did v Arsenal). Our rivals playing well and losing is good for us because it’s not an indicator that they’ll be playing at that level every game.
West Ham been a prime example
