I dont think you're paying attention. Since Dyche arrived the form guide shows he's got us into almost mid-table territory (13th). If we keep on that path we'll get 36 points. But I think we can do better as we've had 3 of those 6 games of Dyches against Liverpool and Arsenal...with two away.

There's no getting away from it like: we have to get wins. This Saturday is a golden opportunity to get one of the - IMO - 4 we need.

If we get that win then Dyche would have got 10 points from a possible 21 - that's form that'll get us safe.

Anything is possible, I just don’t see how you can be so confident we’ll definitely stay up. I still think if we make it then it’ll have been against the odds.

That will be us after we get 1 point from the next 4 games. I think we'll be 7 points adrift by then and no chance at all of clawing it back.

17th will really be on 30 points in four games time?!

Leeds got Brighton home, Arsenal and Wolves away and then the re-arranged Forest game on April 4th as their next four.

West Ham in 16th got a run o three home games as Man. City away got postponed due to the cup. Homes v Villa, Newcastle and Southampton so while that's a big chance to get a win or two I'd be surprised if they get 7 points from those.

It's a bit simplistic to assume just because we got 7 points from 6 games that you can automatically project that over the rest of the season. 6 of the points were obtained with a very fine margin that we will sometimes fall on the wrong side of, as the Villa game showed. Not saying we won't survive but I agree Dyche will have done a brilliant job to keep us up.

Yeah there is the small matter of a "Dyche has us comfortable" projection requiring an opposition keeper to go walk about and Coleman scoring a worldie fluke or a flukey worldie every 3rd week. Turning over a big name like Arsenal at home we've done a fair few times in the recent past, it's the middle-of-the-road teams we throw it away against.

True. But searching for optimism you could say if we can cut out even half the stupid individual errors we’ve made in recent weeks, we’d already have 4-6 more points.

Unfortunately I’m not an optimist

2/3s of the way through the season, I imagine fans of every club in the bottom seven will be saying the exact same thing...

I think West Ham will be ok based on their upcoming fixtures, and the quality in their squad to obtain the needed results.

I dare say they'll ditch Europe and play a subpar XI.
They have had that quality all season and it's made little difference though. The problem is that Moyes doesn't know how to fit them together, fans have run out of patience with him and there are talks of rumblings in the dressing room also yet his job seems safe for now. Europe could be a help or a hinderance for them.

This is the biggest issue with going down. If we don't batter "crap" like Bristol City and Reading the fuming will commence.
If the team with the fewest amount of goals scored in the top four/five divisions gets relegated and expects to magically start turning teams over 5 and 6 each week, I hope we have a pre-season trip to realityland arranged first.
