I'd agree on Palace but it is somewhat comforting to see other clubs sweating along with us....
I keep saying all the clubs from bottom up to 14th are dire. There's nothing between them. All of them could stumble out of the mess, and all of them could cement themselves into the relegation places. The bookies are having a laugh with this one. It's an absolute lottery.

Personally don't see any way we stay up. Think there is a serious chance we lose our next 4, at which points heads will just drop, agents will be queueing up the moves etc. and we'll be down.
There were hundreds of these type of posts last season and we stayed up

Who thought we would beat Chelsea and Man Utd at home, beat Leicester away and win with 10 men against Newcastle but lose to Brentford at home, lose to Burnley away and draw with Watford away in the run in to last season and that’s not even including the miracle of Goodison when we were 2-0 down at home to palace in our final home game and came back to score 3 second half goals to win the game to guarantee safety with a game to spare.

No Richarlison, no DCL. neither replaced. This isn't the same as last season by a long stretch. If it was, with the manager we have in place now and the extra defensive resolve I think we would be out of it by now. Not this time, I hate to say.

We didn’t have McNeil, Onana, tarkowski, coady or gueye last season but we do now

DCL will hopefully be back soon

Got to be positive

Since dyche came in we look much better than our opponents except for arsenal and Liverpool away which was to be expected

Huge game on Saturday we can win it

These last few pages is just davek trying to get some optimism into the fanbase. Fair play.

I agree with him, we can still get out of this!!!!
TBH, I dont even see it as 'optimism'.

The type of points projection I'm making is very conservative and based on the current unspectacular haul of points per game we've seen under Dyche thus far. I say that - even that rate of points accumulation - gets us 36 points and, IMO, that will be enough.

I still find it very strange that there will be a player on the opposition team who really shouldn't be playing. Surely the league are getting themselves into a bit of a situation there?

It's a strange situation with Toney. I imagine they will be doing things by the book and the lawyers will be heavily involved, but if he's admitted to enough breaches to be banned, you'd think he'd be banned right away. If further breaches are proven, just add to the ban.

Funnily enough, Brentford would probably be happy to get it started now. If it's going to be something like 6 months, they're safe from being dragged down the table and relatively unlikely to scrape Europe, so get it started now and have him back in September. They don't look like a relegation side right now but every season is different so it would be better for them for it to effect as little of next season as possible.

Put it this way, Leeds and Burnley both had a bit of a pop at us at the end of last season due to our spending (Burnely more so because they went down). I know nothing came of it, but it seems reasonable to assume that at least one of the teams that are relegated, and possibly even some more teams will question why a player was allowed to score 15 goals plus for his team, ensuring their safety in the league, when he was not eligible to be playing. Why don't we just sign a striker right now if you can just play someone who shouldn't be playing?

Yeah, you need due process of course, but the minute he admitted to a large number of the breaches he should've been suspended immediately to avoid this exact situation where Fulham and likely us will be prejudiced by having to play against a guy who has admitted his guilt.

These last few pages is just davek trying to get attention by taking the opposite stance to the majority of the fanbase and doubling down by dismissing derisively the fans who think the opposite of what he has decided to think now. Fair play for the effort put in, but haven't a bloody clue why he does it ALL THE TIME, as I'm never convinced it's just attention seeking or wumming. Check out any old thread where majority fans were either almost universally delighted OR universally furious at something and Dave will be found in there with an original take

Just fixing your post up a bit.
