Looking for positives, perhaps it could be seen as a plus that a result and performance that bad have come so early into the season. There really can be no illusions that we are in serious trouble (yet again) if we don't see significant changes right away.

I was talking to someone the other week about the season and I said there won’t be a great escape this season, it will either be a relatively comfortable finish between 10-15th or we’ll finish rock bottom won’t get to 30 points and be down by April. Unfortunately, right now it’s looking like the latter. Just hope we can put enough of a team together to get us safe, but it will mean nothing if dyche persists with tugboat Keane.

Agree with this, hopefully Dyche uses this to give the lads an absolute bollocking this week, what we seen was absolutely unacceptable. The result and most importantly the performance has come early and hit reality home hard.

Still think based off last weeks showing that there is evidence Dyche can get this group of Championship players organised and set up well, be hard to beat and hit on the counter. Unfortunately it is our only chance. We simply do not have creative players and we are not good in possession. Frank tried the progressive play out from the back approach, it was a nightmare.

It’s going to be a long season, and as most of us know we are likely going to be at the wrong end of the table for most of the season - meaning results like this will happen. But those performances can not be repeated, lose 4-0, sure - but run your ass in to the ground, do the bloody basics right and at least give yourself half a chance.

It’s only game week 2, still time to fix, still players to come back. Always the optimist…

I went today, got a ticket from my Villa supporting mate.
Shambles.
Cut to pieces by a decent team who are organised and know what they are doing, which is everything we aren't.
It could've been far worse.
We have changed managers more times than most fella's change trousers in the last few seasons, I see no point in doing it again now.
How many ex-managers are we still paying off?
I thought Dyche was the best we could get then and he still is now.
We knew at the start of the season that we were playing for 16th or 17th and hoping that there were 3 worse teams than us and I still think that we will be good enough at home to finish above Luton, Sheffield and one other.
It's a grim state mind.
We've had money and spent beyond our means for years and here we are in a worse situation than if we were skint.
I know it's easy and more palatable to think there are factors and outside influences that have created this mess, simple truth is, we are a mess, we have a Championship level squad with championship level performances and currently we are getting championship level results, but I see no merit at all in getting rid of Dyche, he isn't even close to being part of the problem.
This is all of our own making, paying big money and big wages to players who either aren't good enough, on the way down or on an upward curve who see us as a good pay day before they head off.
If I was being brutally honest, there are about 5 or 6 players from our squad that I'd want to keep, sad thing is, nearly all of them have been actually signed for actual fees.....we've actually gone out and bought them. If we'd been given them for Xmas I would've returned them a refund.

Every other team thats had the the injection of proper money over the last 10-15 years with a Steak budget has come out with prime cuts. We've had Corned Beef and Mad Cow Disease. We've had money and we can't attract flies to jam. We've bought a steady flow of 20-30m players on big wages that aren't good enough or are here for a pension. We just can't stop making bad decisions. Dyche was/is a good decision, we should've gone for him instead of Lampard, but he's now in a desperate position with a desperate squad.

We've not addressed the problem of goals (this almost got us relegated last year, I was certain of it). But not only that, we're down Coady and Mina. This is a recipe for disaster.

We have Mcneil and Harrison to not include the last two matches. I think it is still too early to talk on relegation.
I am not surprised that we lose to Villa but the performance is too awful. We need to find the form next matches. I am sure we can do that.
