I don’t disagree with you mate but I think this season is our best chance to absorb a deduction and stay up

I have been thinking that myself.

IMO this season will break the record for the lowest points total needed for safety.

If we were deducted 12 points in the morning we would be 7 points from safety.

Given the standard of the bottom three I think that is doable.

Next season they will be replaced by Leicester and probably Leeds.

It will be hard to make up 12 points from scratch next season IMO.

I think you're a bit giddy with the away win. This Everton team will struggle to get 42 points...that makes us relegation candidates with a 6 point deduction.

In any case we should stop factoring it in, we're doing our enemy's work for them.

Can people please STFU about what point deductions we can 'handle' please.

1/ we are a terrible team and an injury away from being just like Luton, Burnley and Sheff Utd

2/ people are scouring Everton forums to see what reaction there'd be to us getting points deductions.

Thanks.

We could maybe handle a 4 point deduction.

More inconsistent posting from the forum's master.

FWIW I think we're way better than six, maybe seven, clubs in the league this season.

I disagree we're way better than that many, but I've seen enough to say we are way better than 3 or 4, and should be aiming to finish above another 3 or 4.

Can't help coming back to those early home games. Even 4 points from Fulham, Wolves and Luton at home and we'd be in a very comfortable early position.

I think we're comfortably better than Burnley, Luton, Sheff Utd, B'mouth, Forest, Wolves and maybe one of Palace/Fulham.

Who else do you see us better than?

Much better than the first 4, and on a broadly similar standing as the others, hence why I said we should be aiming to get ahead of those.

If we keep up our general level for the rest of the season, the only thing that will make it an uncomfortable season will be a points hit.

With a fair wind behind us and no major injuries we can finish 12th this season. No question.
