Prefer if there wasnt an international break now we're in a good run of form, you can tell there is a real spirit, understanding and cohesiveness developing and we could do with just keep taking games on.

Were getting to that time of year when clubs will look at flipping a manager - wonder will any below us.

It's crazy that Luton now need 3 wins to get above us in the table, and have one win in 12...no points deduction it seems almost impossible for us to get relegated

I dunno, seems to be a few knocks and also Coleman will be fit

I definitely was. We aren’t safe yet but I feel so much better about it since a few weeks ago. Would love to just have one of them uneventful mid table safe by March seasons.
This until the club is being run correctly on and off pitch. Mid table mediocrity much outweighs relegation battles, not lacking ambition but surviving is sometimes OK!

International break at the worst time, agree there mate.

But, let me flip your last point back to you - would you stick or twist in their situations?

Form can change very quickly for all teams which is why nothing is done in the PL after 12 games. I hate all these pundits who’s re like ‘if City go 5 points ahead of Arsenal the title race is over’ only for City to lose the next week and Arsenal win and it’s all back on. Any of the teams below us could change manager or make a signing in January which changes everything whistle we are an injury to one of the CBs away from Michael Keane coming back in and hurtling us towards relegation form again.

What is comforting though is that there are three teams down at the bottom and we have a buffer on all of them. It’s unlikely that all of them will suddenly find some decent form so it’s looking promising for us but it’s too early in the season for any definitive statements, we can reassess at halfway point.

If it were me mate at Burnley or Bourmouth id flip, they have the makings of being competitive to stay up but managers with a dogmatic approach that will see them down. Though Bourmouth have gotten two results recently - so be a bit unfair.

Sheff Utd and Luton id prob stick - they prob came up a year or two too quickly in their building processes and with parachute payments that development will be accelerated against their rivals in the Championship next year and they will have the managers who have done it in the past. ;)

I think that result against Saudi Arabia was the worst thing for Bournemouth's survival. Masks all the problems Iraloa is setting them up with. Burnley is probably the more likely to make the change sooner rather than later. Luton, Sheff Utd, totally agree, can't see anyone getting a tune out of those squads at this level.

This thread should be changed to Europe qualification 23/24. We will be absolutly nowere near the bottom 3. Even more so if we keep the spine of our side fit. Anywere from 9th to 13th we will finish

Is it common place for teams who have previously been punished with a points deduction to have those points deducted immediately? I thought where clubs have been deducted points in the EFL (as there is no PL precedent) those deducted points have taken effect in the following season. What makes us think that any points would be effective this season?

I agree with all that.

I hate it when teams unexpectedly come up , their manager has done a great job getting them there but they are clearly uncompetitive and they think the answer is to sack the manager.

That said it is so difficult to arrest a negative slide and reoccurring defeats even after relegation.

So yes if I were Luton or Sheff U I'd stick with the manager.

I can't get my head around Burnley. They looked fantastic in The Championship, far too good and I thought they and Kompany would stay up comfortably. However they have been rank and now lost their only striker for god knows how long.
I genuinely don't know what I'd do if I was Burnley's owner , probably stick with him I think.

Bournemouth is a really strange one. They had manager who did really well last season but got rid. Some good players there but terrible results until recently. I think you'd have to stick with him for now at least
