Manchester City became the only team to have been relegated in the season after winning the league title as well as the only team to ever be relegated from the top tier of English football having scored the most goals in that particular season.
Goals for 80, goals against 77. +3 GD.

As a club we are rightly feeling indignant about the wrongly disallowed goal away at Tottenham. From the fans to the players to the gaffer... We all know that we were robbed. That's another point that we have been relieved of by the corrupt PL!

However, the standard of the performance away at Tottenham was encouraging, particularly when you consider that we were playing a side that is in the top 4.

On Wednesday we will be playing arguably the best team in football history, but under the lights at Goodison anything is possible. We as fans have got to be up for it, just as we were when we played Newcastle and also Chelsea.

Only 8 teams have won more games than us this season. As long as the boys keep playing for the shirt, like they have in the last month or two, we'll be fine, especially when we rightfully have (some) points restored.

lol lol lol not quite sure about that Gareth

Looking well ahead: I'd say 5 of our last 8 games look very winnable with maybe a draw or 2 for the other 3.

By then we'll know if we have any points back from the ones deducted. I'd we do get 4 or 5 then we're likely safe. But that run in looks like a soft landing apart from Arsenal away last game of the season.

Looking at our remaining fixtures I see us picking up at least 20 points, if we keep on current form we'll prob lift closer to 30. Any points returned should see us well safe.

20 points is very doable given we're not even at halfway of the season yet and we;ve won 26 points so far. But it could easily be a worse second half of the season than the first and that would leave the door open for others below.

If we get no significant injuries losing players for months on end (Doucoure is already a miss for us after a couple of weeks) we'll be ok. If we get some points thrown back we'll be ok. I'd say the first one is a pipe dream as we will get big injuries, and the second one is not going to happen as the PL won't want to get in a bind with those clubs they've accommodated who wanted us sanctioned.

This will be an uncomfortable run in again I'm afraid.
