Basically we need a goal scorer

If we don’t get one, then we’re in massive trouble

Not only do we need a goal scorer, we needed one before the season started.

Waiting until the end of the transfer window to get a striker on loan means that we will be on zero points from 4 games.

They played an excellent side. We played a half depleted terrible Fulham side at home and couldn’t put them away. That’s what gets you relegated.

Well, they'll just bring in their new £40m Spanish international centre back Pau Torres instead.

He's good but he needs to settle in/learn language etc so plenty of excellent CBs from abroad have struggled early on in the prem.

Konsa made a Keane esque error for third so he'll certainly be more vulnerable without Mings leadership.

Tbf they probably won't need defenders next week. Just keep two players back there and it'll be more than enough for a clean sheet. Might as well rest Martinez in goal as well, no need risking your best goalkeeper when you're playing a team that doesn't score goals.

I honestly know what you mean but there is no way you can just keep throwing away points against awful teams at home and think everything is going to be ok. Even to be boring at mid table you have to be putting Fulham away at home.

Don't forget to factor in the nine point deduction incoming October for FFP breaches.

6 points from the first 8 games is generous to begin with.
Even the most positive Everton fan would predict a lower return from those games assuming no DCL.

It’s football mate, it happens. We deserved the win today and didn’t get it for a number of reasons. One of them being a legitimate goal disallowed and some of it being poor finishing/good goalkeeping.

We might well be in another relegation scrap come the end of the season, but for now, I’m not going to spend the next 9 months being miserable.

Mings got a bad injury in that game so they'll be weaker at the back next weekend so the endless spamming of crosses might actually work for once.

Villa can afford to be weaker at the back against Everton’s strike-force.

A couple of traffic cones would probably suffice.
