We really need a Wolves win on Sunday because I can only see a point for us at best in the next three games. Being in the relegation zone will be bad enough but if we go 4/5 points adrift if Burnley win their next two it could be curtains. If they only take 3 points from their next two, we won’t be adrift regardless.

After tonight and last night it’s more obvious than ever: we are going to have to win an away game. Pinning it all on Watford, which looks most likely of any. But our away record is putrid.

Why am I thinking about this at twenty past 12 in the morning of a school night? I don’t think the players and club actually realise how much this affects us do they . Gutless turds.

Bad result tonight but not too unexpected. Wolves should be a much tougher opponent for them but we need Wolves to at least not lose.

If Burnley win back to back games it's looking very concerning but Wolves are a much better side than them so I expect them to come away with at least a draw.

The way some are throwing in the towel every time things don't go our way is pathetic though. It's not "done" and we aren't "gone".

Still a lot of games to be played yet in this relegation battle and we have the upper hand being a point ahead having played a game less. We could lose to Watford away but beat Chelsea at home.

If Palace can beat Leeds, I think there is a (small) chance they aren't out of this yet either.

Terrible times for us at the moment but we are still in the fight.

It's all this letting certain games pass as "expected defeats" that will kill us in the end. We have lost too many points to bad teams to duck our responsibility to get some of them back against good teams. While any observer would expect us to take a good hiding on Sunday, we cannot think like that. We have to make it a war. We have to fight now. If we don't, we will slide away because this team is not going to reliably defeat Palace, Watford, and Brentford.

Did somebody say we have taken a single solitary point on the road since October? I mean, let's face it, that is absolutely deserving of relegation. Too many of our players seem to be living in a nether world where being relegated does not seem real to them. I can see us dropping now. I've thought this since we lost to Burnley. Some games tell the truth about sides, and we found ours that night. On all reliable form, we are going down. The only way to change that is to go to places like Anfield and get something against the odds. Similarly, we need to beat Chelsea at Goodison. Draws are not useless, but if we let another opportunity to win at home pass, then yes we need to win on the road. Watford is non-negotiable. We need five points from the next three games. Aiming for three is not enough.
Whilst I agree that we should battle in every game we need to ensure that we don't let the occasion get to us. This is one game but any red cards will see us lose players for more winnable games and we can't afford that.

Relegation will be a real eye-opener after the almost continuous good times we’ve enjoyed in the Premier League.

What is the second tier even called? Is it still the Endsleigh League First Division?

Are stabbings and racial abuse more common at these small time, backwater clubs that the Blues will be visiting?

What’s the best shirt sponsor we can hope for? Arnold Clarke?
Good times? Have you been high this whole time?

Just looking at Leeds fixtures -

Home to City, Chelski and Brighton
Away to Palace, Arsenal and Brentford

They may only need 4 or 5 points to stay ahead of us and Burnley, but where are they going to pick them up ? They're all tough games. And if they were to lose the first four, then Brighton and Brentford would become proper relegation nailbiters.
Leeds are the one thing giving me hope. Yes, they've won a couple of easier fixtures of late, and got a lucky one at Wolves, but like you say it's quite conceivable they could still be on 33 points with 2 games to play, in which case they are right in the muck, especially with their goal difference.

Is that you bill?

Frank is not doing it for me tbh Imagine we never got that last min goal the other day or the same against Newcastle, it would be over right now.

Keep Rondon upfront now ffs

Back in ‘94 when we were losing 1-0 to Wimbledon and Limpar rose and punched the ball conceding a penalty that was scored I was still convinced we were still in the game, and for those that don’t know, Wimbledon we’re a hard nut to crack. In 1998 against Coventry I was really worried and when Barmby missed the penalty I was frantic as it was followed by Dublin scoring. The last 10 minutes were excruciating.
This is worse. There is no fight in this team. Despite the talk of all to play for etc etc I don’t believe it. This is the worst Everton team and squad I’ve ever seen. This will end in a whimper rather than a bang. I certainly do not think the final game against Arsenal is going to be crucial. I think it will be all over by then.
This really is a tragedy.
In all honesty, I could cry, and probably will.
That's the thing we have no fight and that has been caused by an incoherent transfer policy. DCL was never going to be enough up front for us. Look how well Brentford have done with Toney. If we had a proper striker we wouldn't be in this mess. It's the arrogance of the idiots who have failed to replace Lukaku that's caused this mess. Chelsea struggled as soon as Costa left. The Sheffield United game, when we lost when they had nothing to play for wax when I started to worry about this team. When we lost 5 2 to Watford that should of been the end of Benitez. Agent Benitez did his job aided by our stupid owner.

It will crush me if it happens, but it would be the most deserved relegation in a while. Only got ourselves to blame.
Agree mate the fans who have continued to support idiots like Kenwright and Moshiri have played a huge part. To be fair to the RS, they are ruthless, we someone said have become a charity with a football club attached. A typical example is giving these stupid ambassador jobs to people, what purpose does it serve other than jobs for the boys.

Don't blame the fans what a nob head thing to say.

We are going down im pretty certain of it, if we do escape it will be at the expense of Leeds not Burnley.

If we go down it will be nothing less than this hole of a club deserves
Thats the thing, I don’t know why some are saying they are so worried feel sick about the situation, this has been coming for a good while, but even in these dire times we do still have a chance. I’m not totally giving up yet, Burnley aren’t world beaters and at some point we’re going to string a few results together, we have recently done the
same ourselves. What will be will be us fans can’t change it.
