Yep so that's the Brentford that recently beat Chelsea by scoring 4 at Stamford Bridge , Palace who battered us in the FA Cup and Watford who put 5 past us at Goodison.

The only hope that we've got is that those 3 teams aren't arsed when we play them and somehow we start to produce performances which we have been incapable of all season.
It's not just our club and playing 11 thats hit a new low then if we are quaking in our boots at the prospect of trying to pick up 2 wins against Brentford, Palace and Watford.

It's sad to see how some of our fans have adopted their loser mentality too.

You can go through individual results all season from every club except the top 2 and pick out examples to suit a specific argument. But those 3 fixtures I mentioned are games that we can get wins in. If we don't, then relegation is pretty much a certainty and your doom and gloom resignation to relegation will have been proved correct and I will acknowledge that.

We've been bottling it all season and don't deserve to stay up. I've been coming to terms with it. We've overstayed out welcome amongst the top flight - clubs that are acutally well run and become more than the sum of their parts. I've been coming to terms with it all season. We've had a good run amongst the elite, but it's the elite for a reason - you do badly, you go down. No one is too big to go down.

You are overlooking the fact that 2 weeks ago Dyche was in charge , now he isn't.

On the face of it , to the outside world, the decision to get rid seemed inexplicable but maybe , just maybe things were happening inside the Burnley camp that none of us know about and that sacking Dyche was a popular decision with the players and the result is what we saw with a draw at Wham and last night's win - the 2 games they've played since his departure.
In the 2 games since we played Burnleys Dyche we have taken the same number of points as them having played a game less. And 2 tough opponents - Man Utd and Leicester.

….but it‘s all of our own making.

A bit of a joke club under Moshiri, safe but wasteful. Then the suicidal appointment of Benitez, obnoxious and divisive, turning the club from joke to rancid.

it’ll be the final piece of the Perfect Storm for Burnley to appoint him and stay up comfortably with their momentum. No coming back from that.

Burnley have a dilemma: stick with an inexperienced caretaker manager who's just got you 4 points out of 6 but who could buckle if things start to go wrong against Wolves and their following game, or twist and get an experienced manager in and risk upsetting the applecart.

We got results under ferguson in his first stint, then it all went to plop.. Hopefully same thing will happen to burnley

If you want to live your life worrying about potential doomsday scenarios that you have no way of controlling mate then that's up to you. It's not for me but you do you. Personally I find that just as pointless and tedious as the delusional happy clapping and the blind pretence that every will work put perfectly is.
I’m just being realistic, going down will be hell for Everton, no point sugar coating it.
It’s still in our own hands, no matter their result vs Wolves we still control our fate.

I too have just gone through the remaining fixtures. I can only see us picking up another 6 points.

It’s good night Vienna boys.

And well deserved too.
This is typical of the yo-yo mentality of some fans: we win a game or Burnley lose a game most people are looking at the remaining fixtures and declare they've looked at them all and can see us getting 10-12 more points; if we fail to win a game and Burnley win one they look at the very same fixtures and then cant see us getting more than 6 points.

It's completely laughable.

Let me save you the bother and cut to the chase for the the upcoming round of games: we'll get f.a. in all likelihood from Liverpool and Burnley will get a draw at best from Wolves. We may be in the relegation zone on GD or not.

After that we'll have a game in hand on Burnley and then we'll see if this team and manager can cut it by saving themselves.

I think that just about covers the situation, tbh.

They defo got a bounce.

If I was Burnley's owners I;d forget about a new manager and go with Jackson...and yet, he's got no experience of dealing with a loss or two and knowing how to contain it.

It’s been our failure to get barely any away points all season which has led us here. Even a few draws would have us sitting a lot better. Far too many games when these sloppy players just allowed draws to slip to losses week after week. Now they’re finally scrapping but we need points from every game now. They should have actually pulled their finger out against Newcastle Southampton Burnley West Ham Norwich Wolves Villa etc. and we might not be in this mess. The players have sleep walked into it, now they have to scrap to get us out of it.
