I hope we have a fire sale regardless. This squad as it currently is right now wouldn’t get us back up. I would accept a serious offer for any player, obviously there are going to be players that won’t have any interest whatsoever like Gomes and Holgate so we’re gonna struggle to move them on. We have to sell anyone who’s attracting interest.

6months ago I'd be throwing out a list of players I hope we keep/need to keep etc

What annoys me most of all is the not only purchase of bad players that has got us into the mess but the money and wages spent in players who’ve contributed little or nothing.

It has all been down to a total lack of direction from top down. Little or no due diligence undertaken - we've been sold dummies on the back of super agents instead of applying proper consideration as to how players may actually improve the squad. It's like we buy players based on current FIFA 20, 21...

Where did I say I would rather go down? What about trying to see the positive in a bad situation means you also crave that bad situation to come true?

You need to take your head out the sand and start contemplating the unthinkable pal because refusing to isn't going to make it any less likely and it's going to make it an even bigger shock to your system when it does.
 
You've got to say, if there was a university course on football club ownership, the last 6 years of Everton Football Club would be a case study in how not to do it.

There's barely a person at the club who doesn't thoroughly deserve the relegation they're likely to get. The sad thing is the one group who don't deserve it are the fans.
