If Burnley win tomorrow then we are odds on to go down. If they don't win it helps us a lot. Our game is a one in a thousand chance and basically a write off. The Burnley Wolves game is what will determine the rest of our season.
Agreed. Think if Wolves win and we don't go into the bottom 3, we'll scrape together just enough points to stay up. Just. A Burnley win and I think we're down. It's absolutely terrifying. I'll never watch another team's game with more interest than Burnley v Wolves tomorrow.

Wolves are playing pretty decently but they have experienced some terrible refereeing decisions recently. The Jimenez one was a complete joke, the penalty at Newcastle was nonsense as Wood clearly dived & the penalty for Villa when Sa was bashed into all played into their results. They were cruising against Leeds and Villa and while not great at Newcastle, were unlucky for that to be given as a pen.

If they play to their strengths they'll beat Burnley but more recently they've struggled against teams who want to play batter your opponent ball. It's going to be interesting but with Burnley only playing a day or so ago, I think Wolves will have too much for them. Also, Southampton should have taken the lead on at least two occassions before Burnley scored. If Wolves take the lead, then Burnley will find it very difficult to get back into the game.
Absolutely - three games in a row we've been on the end of rough decisions - Leeds especially was a joke. Should have put 'bad refeering decisions' as one of my third reasons to be pessimistic that we will beat Burnley - although a reason to be optimistic is if things really 'even out', we're due a bit of luck!

When the dust settles on our relegation, there are a number of short and long term factors that led to this point.

1. Poor recruitment caused by a dysfunctional DoF role. Failure to replace Coleman, signing Iwobi, Tosun etc…

2. Interference in recruitment by the owner.

3. Poor managerial choices by the owner.

4. An inability to move surplus players out of the club has saddled us with an unaffordable wage bill.

5. An insane and never ending injury crisis. Players like Gbamin and Delph have been disastrous. This cannot be under estimated, coupled with DCL (this season).

6. Gylfie Sigurdssen

7. Insufficient U23 player development.

In short, it has finally caught up with us. Disgraceful really to be in this position.

A Burnley win tomorrow won't help that's for sure.
For me it is the Watford game. Nothing but a win against them and its curtains.

The world does not revolve around us.
Gerrard will want to win games. Its his job

Also, he's under a bit of pressure himself there as they havent been in great form, he's only won 4 from 12 and lost 4 out of the last 5. He will want to finish as high as possible as he is auditioning for Klopps job remember. The more he wins the bigger chance he has.
