I said to a friend the other day that we'll be in a relegation battle next season whichever division we're in for this exact reason.Absolutely no guarantee we bounce back up.
Add to that we have very little relegation wage clauses in players' contracts, meaning in order to comply with Championship wage cap/FFP we'd need to sell majority of players for pittance. We'd be fleeced for players like DCL, Pickford and Richarlison out of a sheer necessity to get their wages off the books
Under no circumstance should anyone be even contemplating accepting relegation as something that might not be a bad thing - it would be a disaster.
'As soon as Leeds'?I don’t think anyone is under any illusions about the devastating impact relegation would have on us.
If we somehow survived financially we certainly wouldn’t be coming back as soon as Leeds did. It would be more like 30 years.
Sunday is crucial. Perhaps the most important game in our club’s history.

Even I'm not that negative! Leeds were down 16 years.
I think realistically we'd be looking at a Villa-type scenario. If we managed to keep the core of the squad together we'd be able to get out of it first time but it's a big if
Sorry to hear about your mum and I hope you're coping OK. I lost my mum October 2020 so I can relate to some extent. What I've come to learn from the experience is that there's far more important things to worry about in life than the fortunes of a football club. I obviously still want the club to do well, I'm dreading relegation and I still go to the odd gane. But I won't let it control my life. I used to follow religiously but the last couple of years I've been doing things I actually enjoy on match days. Went on a bike ride this Sunday and had a few pints in non-football showing pubs. Felt the better for it.Mate, my mum passed away on the 20th October last year and almost to the day, the club went into a nose dive so as stupid as it is (and it really is) I started to associate the two completely separate things.
In my completely illogical mind I’ve accepted it’s just something that is going to happen. Doesn’t make it easier but I won’t be surprised if/when it happens
We won't come back any time soon, our players just don't won't it enough, and the championship teams will see us as a cup final every week.

Football has existed longer than 17 years or so mate. The only acceptable measure is the previous years performance.Fair enough. Spurs would argue they have averaged 5th over the last 17 straight seasons so have some history there. Personally, I hate the Premier League. It is 100% about who has the deepest pockets now. Nothing more, nothing less.
I don't subscribe to any services, never watch games that don't involve Spurs and have jacked in my ST.
You missed arsenal away. Not that it mattersThe only thing that changed from 2-3 weeks ago is Burnley getting 6 points from their last 2 games, we are where we were supposed to be
We should still target 3 wins and 2 draws from the remaining 6 games:
Must Win:
Home to Brentford
Home to Palace
Win one and draw 2:
Home to Chelsea
Away to Leicester
Away to Watford
11 points = 40 points = safety (regardless of what happens to Burnley and Leeds)

By that I mean so it's not that we need to buy 15 players and only need to buy, say, 7-8I think the opposite tbh. We need a new group of players to get us back up, no chance this lot could cope with the Championship. I honestly think we’d win about 4 away games. We need a thorough overhaul of the squad whatever happens.
Yeah Tim mate neither can I but you have to be realistic.I can't think of anything worse
