It's not over till its over the players and fans need to fight and support with everything we got for the next six games. One win and one game where Butnlry slip up and it's back on. If we go down then we can't say we haven't given it everything. If we do go I blame the owner and board for this travesty!
My sentiments exactly.

Makes a mockery of those who say we can “rebuild” if we go down.

Rebuild with what?
Well we have no other choice then to rebuild do we? Or do we just stop? Even if we did a Bury, the only logical next step would be to rebuild the club.

It isn't people saying they are happy or want to go down, its people saying if we do go down 'here is what we need to do', 'here is the plan'.

I'd rather hear what the plan is in the event we go rather then just people saying 'its the end of the world' because that doesn't get us anywhere.

Yeah he's a pompous deluded fool this quote just reinforces it.

Its a shame McNulty and the other local/main stream media didn't do an in depth dive 3-4 years ago at what was going on at the club and why we were having failure after failure, if and god forbid we do go down we will be back page news for a few weeks and every tom dick and harry will be coming out the woodwork to tell their stories of how they new years ago that we were a mess and they could all see this coming

I think the plan will be to sell anyone we can sell, then go with what’s left.

Depending on how much we sell, we could still face a points deduction.

Essentially, the plan is managed decline and try and avoid a second relegation, For the second year in the Championship, the parachute payments reduce even further, meaning another attempt to shift the deadwood.

The plan really is just to try and control the tailspin and be able to come back fitter and leaner etc in a few years.

Surely the only plan they have is to come straight back up? We'll sell 3-4 of our best players and we'll get the £50mish parachute payment. That should balance out the loss in TV money (£100-150m) for one season.

If we don't get promoted the second year will be even harder to balance the books. At that point we'd get points deducted?

We need to go further than than though.

We are at £120m of losses with the PL money!

Any player sales in the summer wouldn't be accounted for until the accounts released in the second season - i think. So i imagine we wouldn't see a points deduction until the third season?

We fans forced him out because we finished 8th.

We wouldn’t be in this mess had we stuck with him.

Don’t get me wrong: I prefer Lampard to Sam because Sam’s teams didn’t play attractive football, but the guy was a safe pair of hands.
Allardyce came in for a relegation battle that was over before he took charge of his first game.

He then had six months - and £50m - to prove that he could offer more than relegation battle football, and failed dismally.

It's incredible how this narrative persists that he was done dirty after trousering £10m for meandering around mid-table - again, there was no relegation battle to be fought - and buying Tosun and Walcott.

Getting the wage bill doen most importantly and hopefully it’s better with the like of Hames gone and He who must not be named and Digne must be a saying if half a mil a week since Jan
