they could easily. Tottenham is the only tough game they have left. Watford and Villa the other away games. I could see them getting something from every game. Maybe unlikely, but 7 more points isnt a stretch
We shall see I just don't see them winning that many they have had a bounce but one result could knock them back they are a limited side they could have lost the last match it was fine margins

They'll get 6 from Villa alone which puts them on 37. Villa beat Norwich here and they're safe, holiday mode will kick in and Stevie G will hardly throw us a bone
They won't get six from Villa. I could see them beating Watford or drawing at least then maybe another result or two. We are over stating Burnley now because they have had a mini run, they will be decent at home but away it's no given. I don't see them beating Spurs away or even Newcastle at home

Anyone saying that we need to get relegated to rebuild is all b******ks, as a West Brom fan I can tell you it's not how it works, it gets worse each time it happens
Especially when you’ve got a wage bill as inordinately large as ours!

A lot’s been made of the fact that we might be the biggest club ever to be relegated: more seasons in the top division than any other club, more league titles than anyone outside of the ‘big 3’, weekly attendances of 40,000 but soon to be 53,000 once the new stadium on the Liverpool waterfront is completed…

But frankly the big story here is that we will have the biggest wage bill of any club ever to get relegated. By some distance. We’re like Peter Ridsdale’s Leeds but on steroids.

you can paint it any way you want but he was sacked for finishing 8th!
That’s the bottom line.

Given the way we flew up the league on Allardyce’s watch I thought it was harsh to sack the guy. We were firmly ensconced in the bottom half when he came in. I know he wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea but I’d have given him the first few months of the next season to see how he got on. We certainly be in this position now had we kept him in the long-term.

Interesting question. I'd go for prime Jags/Distin myself though as we wouldn't create anything for Yak.

What I’d give for a peak Lescott / Jagielka partnership right now. They were an absolute rock.

I’m gonna sit on the fence and say I’d take just about any of them from 06-09ish. Shame we didn’t win anything in that era, we had a very good team and played some good football at times. Think lack of depth was our undoing imo

If after Christmas when we were virtually safe he'd have changed his style of football to be more expansive and i know you can say he didnt have the players but the football to the end of the season was drab he didnt try and set out to win it was just not to lose , if he could have shown a bit of going out to win from the off some may have maybe given him a chance , very much doubt it though

The thing with Allardyce for me wasn't necessary his style of football but it was the bloke. A horrible corrupt man who rightly got binned off by England. We shouldn't have gone near him for that reason alone.

I can live with crap football for a time as long as it gets results. In purely that sense I think, in hindsight, it was a premature sacking. But at the same time if you see yourself as a club with ambitions it's not a long term solution.
