I think we’ll go on a run, because we have to. Performances have improved recently and I think we’ll pull out some good results. Either way I predict we’ll be going into the Arsenal game with our future still in our hands, but we’ll be praying for those around us to lose.
Burnley have got Newcastle on the final day. Absolutely nailed on the geordies will throw that.

Why does everyone seem to think every other team but the ones we play are on their holidays, surely Leicester, palace and Brentford will be in there hols when we play them.
Leicester all about that cup now nothing else and Palace and Brentford are both safe

It's more us than them !

Another prediction. I know it makes some of us feel better but it's a pointless exercise. We still have a chance of staying up but we need to beat Chelsea first otherwise I can't see a way out. Just take it one game at a time.

Unfortunately, it won't be the forthcoming games that kill us off, it's the missed opportunities earlier in the season. That loss to Burnley was unforgivable.
One or two people explicitly asked for predictions. Given how crap this season has been I don’t think any exercise that promotes even a tiny bit of optimism can be called a pointless exercise.

For me it largely comes down to Richarlison missing that chance at 2-1 vs Burnley. If he scores that then we’re sound and they absolutely flounder. That said, it’s still in our hands and our opponents won’t win all their remaining games.

Everytime I see Mina, Gomes etc injured I think of the propaganda Brands documentary on the everton youtube and the line that goes something like "even once he has gone it isn't over, he leaves a legacy behind" some bloody legacy this squad and youth setup.

This weekend is pretty much the decider, we beat Chelsea and we’re in it. But if burnley win and we lose, we’re done.
We need wins quickly. Getting 3 points against Chelsea would be huge and could potentially spark something. A draw wouldn’t be the end of the world but if we get well beaten it’s hard to see where we go from there. There’s just no evidence to suggest this group of players can go on a run of results but I’m praying they do. If we can pick up points over the next two matches there are still 3 potentially winnable games in Palace, Watford and Brentford. Can’t see us getting a result at Arsenal.

Yeah, this stuff makes me laugh. Especially the idea that someone like Gerrard wouldn't mind finishing 17th, as long as we go down. I'm pretty sure finishing that low won't instil much confidence in him for Villa fans.
