My worry mate is we absolutely can’t beat teams at our level when we have to take the initiative, look at our recent results all gotten from defending for our lives and hitting on the counter, who went at us.

Tonight is a perfect example as was Burnley away.

Goodison and the ground heaving may be our saving grace, it’s such a horrible place to play for the opposition when it’s a bear pit.
...I cant see us getting no points in the last three games. If we just add another I'm pretty convinced that's it. And as I said above: we may even be safe now.

Dont underestimate just how bad Burnley are and how damaged by injuries and suspensions Leeds are.

A final comment from me tonight.

We have three games left. In the last set of three matches (Watford, Leicester, and Chelsea) we have taken 7 points from 9. In the previous set of three (United, Leicester, and Liverpool), we took 4 from 9.

If we take 4 from this next set of three, we cannot be relegated. We may even be able to take just a point and stay up (if Leeds lose to Brighton, we need just one to stay up even if they win their final game with Brentford).

Tonight feels like a missed opportunity - a chance to Ronnie O'Sullivan our way to safety missed. We are taking the Mark Selby approach. In the end, Leeds or Burnley or both will need snookers.

I am always surprised by comments like this.

Our biggest problem since Lukaku left is that we’ve not had a proven goal scorer.

Last year was an anomaly as Ancelotti managed to perform a miracle to get a very average DCL to turn into a prime finisher.

We’ve struggled all year, we have looked terrified to shoot for several years. It’s nothing new. Richarlison isn’t, and never will be a centre forward.

But we didn’t lose, normally this season we would. Valuable away point ahead of two huge cup finals at Goodison.

I’m sure Lampard has his eye on a few signings to help the attacking line next season.
We lack cutting edge and creativity.

If you dont think this squad lacks quality then im gobsmacked.
I have no idea why you are surprised.

I think you are right Dave, we will limp over safety line but I think Burnley and especially leeds are looking at throwing themselves off the cliff first to save us.

no game is a given, as tonight shows

leeds could beat brighton

and we need more wins

i’m as confident as…… me lol

People keep bringing up were we were a few weeks ago, or pointing out we’ve won our last 2 before today.

That is irrelevant to the performance tonight. In fact it should’ve motivated them more. We played a diabolical football team with nothing to play for while we have everything to play for, and we couldn’t do it. We didn’t even come close. It was a crazy bad performance. How are people dressing this up by bringing up the previous two games. Today was completely and utterly unacceptable.
It was an exhausted performance from what I saw.

I just find it interesting that all of a sudden we are back to relying on Leeds opponents and we think we can rely on middling teams like BHA to get us over the line.
To be fair though they have two games left whereas we have three…this can easily be settled on Sunday or drag into the last day.

We’re just a poor team who would’ve been long gone if the teams around us weren’t so dross.
