You make such a good point.

If we fans can’t get motivated to do our bit when the prospect of relegation is looming then when will we?

It’s no coincidence that when Frank first came in and we fans were getting right behind the players the performances were different. After we thrashed Leeds their winger Daniel James said we had been like a 12th man and had really given our players the edge.

But when we fans are negative we’re REALLY negative. And that undoubtedly destroys the confidence of our players.

I remember being at the Wimbledon game in ‘94 and the fans really knew what was required that day. The enthusiasm and encouragement lifted the players. We needed that against Wolves and we didn’t really see it, apart from maybe the first half an hour of the match. As the Watford goalkeeper said the other week, we Everton fans are often seen as an asset… to the opposition!
The Newcastle game is crucial really. Win that and i give us some hope of staying up. A defeat though, and i think relegation will be looking very likely.

Since the end of September form wise, we've been the worst team in the league.

Strangely I feel confident we will stay up, I just cannot see us staying THAT bad and we do have those games in hand...

Far more worried about the prospect of a points deduction next season - I can see a couple of our best players will leave before then.

I'm probably in a minority of 1 here... But I thought we played well against wolves until the goal- then it all went downhill sure, but if we can play as we did in the first half for full games im pretty confident we will make it...

But we can’t do that. As soon as one tiny thing goes wrong in the game they all give up.

One things for sure - the first thing our recruitment team needs to check up on going forward is the player’s character- we can’t have mental midgets playing for us - goodison is too tough a place.

This , -
its belief " we can make it" , thats what is going to see us thru this .

Belief , Frank is the right Manager to get the job done , we have decent players that can get this done , mind set to work a united team and knuckle down , nothing less than 100% backing from the supporters , "which I know is not always appreciated " .

Everton has always lived with everyone and their dog is against us , Press , refs , PL , you name it , we have to stick right back up their noses COYB .................. Please !

Bar Arsenal and Leeds, we’ve been nigh on that bad since September and in both occasions the opposition performed poorly. That’s the problem.

We’re relying on other teams to not turn up, while we’re stuck in a rut of long term underperformance; our confidence and self-belief is shot.

If it wasn’t for the results at the start of the year, we would be plum at the bottom of the table, and you’d struggle to justify us being elsewhere.

I’m usually a positive person - an optimist who sees the best in things - and felt we’d always stay up. Yet, I now can’t see us getting enough results.

If we can beat Newcastle, maybe we could get some momentum, but they’re playing well! If we lose to Newcastle, it’s panic stations.

Yeah, I've pretty much given up since Sunday

Not to say we won't stay up, just that I can't be bothered wasting any energy on it anymore. There's no point
