So do I. But there is nowhere to hide now for the players. If they can't get up for this match then they never will. And if they can't perform in a game like this, then they don't deserve to play at this level.
Tim, there will always be somewhere to hide for this shower. It's the one thing most of them are truly top class at. Hiding for 90 minutes during the game and spending the next few days issuing rallying cries.

It’s mad how little faith we have in these players.

Still 36 points to play for and the majority of us don’t think we will stay up. What have we become as a team / club.

I’m not sure he’s been desperate to sell, if he was he would have been doing a bit more to improve the balance sheet and probably kept out of day to day football decisions. He wanted a train set to play with after him and Usmanov had their Arsenal ambitions thwarted. Wouldn’t surprise me if he wants out now due to fan sentiment/sanctions etcetera though.

Really valid point I think. It's such a poor business decision to have purchased a club, become a dominant shareholder and then not come to Everton with a professional team of people who know how to successfully run clubs (assembled from the likes of those frequenting the Champions League, or at leas the Europa League). You can argue in favour of people like DBB, but look at Peter Moore and the work he did at Liverpool. Denise BB isn't even on the same level of business acumen. Moshiri is also a really private owner, so if you're staying in Monaco and leaving the running of the club to the people you've brought in - then bring in better people and hold them to account.

I don’t want to be pessimistic but looking at the fixtures that are left it’s hard to see where we will pick up enough points to survive, I know we are due a run of form but it’s hard to see it. We have started most of the last few games quite well to be fair but as soon as we are challenged and go a goal down we are doomed. Prove me wrong Everton otherwise we will be stuck in obscurity for a number if seasons as the championship is a different beast. And these players (not that many will stay) have proven they have no fire in their bellies to mix it with the dogs of that league.

Ancelotti knew. Not just by the end. From the start. I can still remember him getting blasted on this forum for not winning in style ?
He polished a turd thats now floating and not going away.
Zero confindence in these set of players is right.
Abysmal(expensive) recruitment will i fear now be the year we reap what we sow. I cant think of a single player in this squad you'd want to go into battle with.

Interesting stat: Palace is on 34 points with only 7 wins. Thats 1 more than us. Playing for draws does pay you know.

I still hope we beat Newcastle and get some more draws somewhere. We need to beat Man U. They are even bigger mess. Beating Man u really makes my season. Lets go!

surely we'll have one patch where we don't lose in 3 or 4 games. literally ever team ever has that
We will. And we'll get out of this. Just.

Since Lampard has been here we've seen those performances against Leeds and Brentford and City: even if we just replicate that sequence in the next 12 games we'll likely as not get the points needed to stay up.

I see us getting that minimum, starting on Thursday with three points.

This , -
its belief " we can make it" , thats what is going to see us thru this .

Belief , Frank is the right Manager to get the job done , we have decent players that can get this done , mind set to work a united team and knuckle down , nothing less than 100% backing from the supporters , "which I know is not always appreciated " .

Everton has always lived with everyone and their dog is against us , Press , refs , PL , you name it , we have to stick right back up their noses COYB .................. Please !
I get the siege mentality, I really do, but it's not true. No one has really been against us. For years no one has even given us a second thought. We've threatened neither a trophy or a relegation until now.

Well they are this season. They want any club associated with oligarchs punished.

A few years ago Liverpool were in a title race with city in which they ultimately come up short by like 2-3 points having a record number of points for second place, during the title chase Liverpool played Barcelona away they played well but lost 3-0 to messi magic. a couple of days before the second leg city played Leicester they were drawing until kompany of all people thumped a 30 yard screamer into the Top Corner winning it for city, bearing in mind a draw would’ve handed the advantage to Liverpool so it was a huge goal in terms of the title race effectively sealing it for city. You could say Liverpool had an excuse to sorry for themselves after that blow they only had to face the mighty Barcelona 3-0 down, well they beat them 4-0 en route to winning the champs league and then winning the prem the following year. Why do I say this? Well hearing that nonsense that everything is against Everton made me think of It, every team has moments and decisions etc go against them it’s how they respond this attitude that everything is against them is just a lazy mentality. I have no doubt that some Everton players probably feel like this but who knows. way I see it Everton are in the position they are in because of extremely poor decision making from the owner and poor transfers from the recruitment team. it’s a combo destined for failure, blaming refs media and all that may be some form of copium for you but I’m sorry the reality is Everton are a poor side and are run even more poorly.

maybe the oligarch thing could be an issue going forward but its not been a thing till now, Chelsea had one and have all the silverware.
main oligarch problem was having a crap one

Fair play to you Dave, I never thought the day would come when you were more optimistic about our position than me.

Could it be something to do with the fact that we’ve collected a mere 8 points from a possible 60? At that rate, those 36 points available would produce about 6 points, and we ain’t staying up with less than 30 points. We’re at the point of no return on Thursday, it’s win or bust.
