We will. And we'll get out of this. Just.

Since Lampard has been here we've seen those performances against Leeds and Brentford and City: even if we just replicate that sequence in the next 12 games we'll likely as not get the points needed to stay up.

I see us getting that minimum, starting on Thursday with three points.
They owe us on Thursday big time

Ancelotti knew. Not just by the end. From the start. I can still remember him getting blasted on this forum for not winning in style ?
He polished a turd thats now floating and not going away.
Zero confindence in these set of players is right.
Abysmal(expensive) recruitment will i fear now be the year we reap what we sow. I cant think of a single player in this squad you'd want to go into battle with.
My issue with Ancelotti was not that he didn't do a good job with what was available, but that the job he did was not progressing us as a club in any way, and so he was contributing to the mess we now find ourselves in. I said a lot last year that spending the money we did on James, Allan and Doucoure was a risk that would only really work out if we had 'success' in the short term, but we didn't and so it was bad business. He's clearly a great manager, everyone knows that, but what's happened this year doesn't change my mind about what has gone on before. He wasn't the right appointment for us and the decisions he made are impacting where we are as a club now.

For the love of god please stop making predictions, you’re like a curse. Every time you say we’ll get something, the opposite happens.

Otoh you could just see on Ancelottis face the depth of our problems, the limitatons of our squad, only sunk in sometime march 21. Full squad available, carefuly crafted tactics (counter) to be blown away by several independent mistakes wich immediatly led to goals for the opposition. Like Holgate at RB. But also the host of missed chances by ""REAL MADRID/MAN U TARGETS CALVERT LEWIN FOR 60 MILLION"" (daily mail etc) DCL. It wasnt by chance he didnt play even one minute in the summer tournament.

There was a summer waiting without any funds, with a squad that needed new blood on 4 or 5 positions. Then Real called. Could you blame him? I dont.

A few years ago Liverpool were in a title race with city in which they ultimately come up short by like 2-3 points having a record number of points for second place, during the title chase Liverpool played Barcelona away they played well but lost 3-0 to messi magic. a couple of days before the second leg city played Leicester they were drawing until kompany of all people thumped a 30 yard screamer into the Top Corner winning it for city, bearing in mind a draw would’ve handed the advantage to Liverpool so it was a huge goal in terms of the title race effectively sealing it for city. You could say Liverpool had an excuse to sorry for themselves after that blow they only had to face the mighty Barcelona 3-0 down, well they beat them 4-0 en route to winning the champs league and then winning the prem the following year. Why do I say this? Well hearing that nonsense that everything is against Everton made me think of It, every team has moments and decisions etc go against them it’s how they respond this attitude that everything is against them is just a lazy mentality. I have no doubt that some Everton players probably feel like this but who knows. way I see it Everton are in the position they are in because of extremely poor decision making from the owner and poor transfers from the recruitment team. it’s a combo destined for failure, blaming refs media and all that may be some form of copium for you but I’m sorry the reality is Everton are a poor side and are run even more poorly.

Interesting first post.

Lol, we've got a live one here. Long post, largely praising the RS and claiming that they are the real victims of institutional biases.

What's your view on middle aged men with hair transplants, tooth veneers and laser eye treatment?

This is the thing, all over Twitter they scream about bad decisions. They get 3 a year and 40 in their favour, they’re quickly forgotten about.

But they scream for weeks about the 3 bad ones.

It probably comes across as bashing Everton and I’m a Liverpool fan but I’m not i’m a Wrexham fan (my home town) but most of my family and friends are evertonians, so I have a natural affinity towards them, believe me I don’t want Everton to be relegated but I don’t see how media and refs etc are valid reasons for their decline. Poor decisions and recruitment more so in my eyes. it’s a tough period for Everton I’m used to them being a Wrexham fan trust me, but these periods can also produce the most growth for players on and off the pitch someone like Anthony Gordon could grow exponentially as a person and player obviously it can go the other way too but these periods can be a great learning curve for everybody players coaches and fans alike.

When he came in our Midfield consisted of Davies, Gomes, and Siggurdson. Our attack consisted of Walcott, Iwobi, Richarlison, Dom.

The first thing he did was bolster the midfield and add some quality in the final 3rd with Doucoure, Allan, and James. Brands brought in Godfrey.

Ancelotti wasn't here long enough to take another step to bolster key areas. We already know he spoke to Mykolenko and was always linked with Koulibaly. Patterson was also on Brands radar so to me that says he was looking at defence going into the summer.

That was on top of keeping Digne and James.
