It may have come across wrong didn’t mean it like that or you didn’t read it what I wrote correctly , I just think some are worrying about Leeds and Brentford getting points and that doesn't matter at all to us, it the 3 below us that matter. Why are people even mentioning the likes of Leeds and Brentford?

Exactly this.

Because the premier league can be a mad old place. And it’s not beyond the realms of possibility for Watford or Burnley to put together a couple of wins in a row to put us in all sorts of bother. I’d rather have some sort of comfort blanket in a leeds/Brentford/Newcastle being in the mix than none at all.

Bit fanciful that mate.
Disagree mate. Imo they'll win these games:

Everton H
Norwich A
Southampton H
Newcastle H

They've also got Wolves H, Watford A and Villa H so if they don't get the points in the fixtures I said they would then they've got an extra 3, handy enough, games there also.

Best case scenario they draw two of those wins and finish on 29 points. This is all based on current form + fighting for survival (more to play for). Of Course this all changes if we turn up and pull a good away performance out of our holes against Burnley. Here's hoping Lampard can turn it around.

Imo it matters because if they both lost today then we'd only be 4 and 5 points behind them with 4 games in hand on both them so a couple of good results from us in those games in hand and Leeds and Brentford are dragged into the thick of it and the pressure applied which takes some heat of us and our players. As it stands its between us, Burnley and Watford with us relying on them having bad weekends every weekend. The more the merrier eh. I'd rather a 1 in 5 chance of going down than a 1 in 3

Maybe, but 4 wins from a team that have won 2 of their last 20 games.....?

They have to double that tally in their remaining 10 games.

It’s a bit mad how poor this league is when you consider after the utter crap we’ve played this season and the turmoil around the club there’s still 3 other teams worse than us in this league at the moment. Add on to that the fact that if we hypothetically won our 3 games in hand we’d be only 2 points off 10th.

There’s 2 great teams in this league, about 6 more decent ones and then the rest are utter crap.

One positive is I'm confident after watching yet another mediocre Man. United performance is that is a home game where at least a point is certainly a credible option.

Pretty sure the home record v them in recent times (with an actual crowd present) is actually good. Had that glorious 4-0 over the easter weekend in 2019 which was high point of Silva's tenure and think there was also a 1-1 just before lockdown.

Other side is still have to play Leicester home and away and they looked good today with James Justin, Maddison and Barnes all combining well. They'll cause whoever is playing fullback all sorts of issues.

Let's see what tomorrow brings. A clean sheet and 0-0 would be nearly as good as a win in my book with Burnley imminent.

Start of the season will keep this team up. Easy run of fixtures up to October but it was 4 wins from first 7 wasn't it so that's always going to be a decent buffer when you think Burnley won 1 game up to February and Watford also had a terrible run under Ranieri.
