Be funny to see how many of our midfielders have a knock for Wednesday and sit it out if they’re not 100% (looking at Gomes and Delph). Sound like a hybrid of Roy Keane and my Dad but we need some of these senior players to run through a wall the next 6 weeks and we have about 2 players who look like they want to be on the pitch, whereas Dyche will have Burnley foaming at the mouth
 
Honestly, and call me Big Sam, but I wonder if Branthwhaite and Godfrey at the back with Holgate in midfield with Doucoure might just make us that little bit harder to beat - whatever happened to the idea of a defensive midfielder ? We seem to have only one - Allan.

Punt it up to DCL, out to the wings or counter.

Kenny, Branth, Godfrey, Myko, Holgate, Doucoure, Gray, Richarlison, Gordon, DCL.

Yeah, desperate.

They've won 3 games all season so I don't think he's managed to do that at all this season

Delph won't want to play another game for us. Contract up at end of the season. Might fancy a year or two playing abroad off the back of being a former international. Won't want to risk injury, will he? Let alone run through a wall. We're grasping at straws.
 

Yeah that's the issue with these "winnable" home games. Likes of Palace and Brentford on great form currently so unless both are on fully beach mode they can come to Goodison and play with total freedom with immense pressure on the home team.

Imo they could both easily go the way of Wolves at home, soak up the little attacks and then hold out comfortably for the 1-0 as the Brentford away game panned out.
