He shouldn't even be compared to a half decent striker though.

Mikey is a nice lad with his morals but he has suggested Griffiths multiple times in the past and always brings him up as an example implying we should take a chance on him

Err, no mate

I suggested him once. In 2013 when he'd had a great season at Hibs and we had no money and hadn't got Rom in yet

I've suggested him since soley to wind up @ijjysmith as an in-joke

I'm not mate

FFS, does anyone actually READ the posts around here?!?!
I read your post and maybe I should correct my own to say never bring him up again

I do respect that you fight your corner though even if I think you're very wrong on a lot of things

One thing I respect about you mostly is your support of young players even if it does lead to you seeing more talent in them that they dont have at least its being supportive

You're being exceedingly pedantic here mate

The comparison is perfectly valid
It's definitely not. x amount of scottish goals does not mean y amount of portugese goals does not mean z amount of PL goals. And traditionally portugese league players have succeeded outside of their leagues far more than the Scottish ones.

Okay lid. If its a in joke I don't understand why you're going to great lengths to prove that he is anything bus a tism looking average league one striker

If I'd said that with some actual sincerity, you'd have a point, but I didn't

All that matters for the comparison is that both players have amassed good goal totals in a weaker League to the Premiership

Niasse scored for fun in Russia, hasn't done it here though

Kyle Lafferty had a great season in Italy and can't get any first team football in England

There's many examples of players doing well in a lower league and not cutting it in the big leagues

There's also examples of the opposite (Tim Cahill for one, who did well at Millwall and then for us)

The comparison is valid

I wasn't saying anything about him as a player

I was saying that he scored and arse bucket of goals in a weaker league than the Premiership, but that doesn't mean he COULD then do it IN the Prem, and used that as an example that this Aboubakar fellow getting 16 goals in Portugal wasn't an accurate barometer on it's own that he'd be good in the Prem either

People read what they want to read on here

Is this one a done deal or got some solid ITK action associated with it?? - just wondering what I've missed that warrants it having its own thread as opposed to being thrown into the Transfer thread like any other tenuous links?
