Leigh griffiths is a joke but the even bigger joke is the level of defending in the spl.

Griffiths is crap never suggest him again

Porto is a better team than any regular scottish prem team, but Im not sure if Id want this fellow anyway. Better than the scots, a lot worse than the prem. He might be worth it, though, but Id prefer if Niasse got a fair try out before we throw bags of cash after more strikers from lower leagues.

Also Tony watt never played for any top club in Portugal and added to the fact Anthony stokes and Gary Hooper bagged in the spl get real of course Porto is a much higher level

I didn't say Scotland was better than Portugal, I said they were comparable in relation to the two examples I gave

It's not even an important part of my argument

It was a throwaway line

The actual important bit was the argument that scoring a decent haul of goals in a weaker league doesn't mean you can do it in the Prem, which is why people are justified to be cautious of us signing this guy

Again, Griffiths got 40 in Scotland, and I don't think anyone would suggest we sign him
How so? There isnt some sliding scale of goals scored in one league and the another. It's arbitrary. Players dont work like that. Goals scored give maybe an indication a player has a certain amount of skill to succeed at a higher level but no more. The portugese league is a higher level than Scottish by a distance and players have worked better elsewhere from their league because of this better standard.

Mikey isn't suggesting him mate.
He shouldn't even be compared to a half decent striker though.

Mikey is a nice lad with his morals but he has suggested Griffiths multiple times in the past and always brings him up as an example implying we should take a chance on him

You're being exceedingly pedantic here mate

The comparison is perfectly valid
