James is a liability and a luxury player
Richy is a bad attitude punk
DCL is a championship player

If that's how we see our best players, imagine the rest lol

Yep your right everyone is amazing and has no weakness whatsoever and certainly no room for improvement even though 2 of the 3 players you've just mentioned are only 23. Their obviously at the top of their games:dodgy:

I didn't say that. But we are not losing due to our best players. They are not part of the problem, they are part of the solution.

The issues that we have are with the bottom 3rd of the squad. Just not good enough

I agree, but even Real Madrid is dependent on Benzema making solid offensive contributions. PSG is dependent on Neymar and Mbappe creating an imbalance in the opposing team. That's what star players do. Creating an imbalance in the opponent's last third is extremely difficult, and to achieve this you usually have to have very good individual players.

This is where we see the greatness of JR. How he finds the rooms with his passes. DCL is more of a finisher than a creator. He is very good in the penalty area, but has very little to offer outside the 16-meter.

Richarlison I'm more uncertain. He has good all-round skills, but is not very creative, or fast, does not have particularly good passes / crosses, and does not impress very much in 1 vs. 1 situations. However, he has had an ability to score goals, which is the most important thing in football. When he does not score goals, he appears as a very ordinary football player.

Yep he's out mate, something to do with head injury protocol.
In a way Carlo did not actually say he is out via below quote via Everton, though it looked like off course Concussion, the clips were done directly after man utd game but released today, the same game that Carlo said to TV that Rich was fine not long later, so who knows if he is 100% out or not, whatever way we have to start doing more and not make it look like we rely on him so much, and get rid of that record that we dont win when he's not playing.

If Richarlison has a concussion, he has to stay out, we have to follow the protocols.

We've not won a game when he hasn't played man lol
Ha! Fair point. But that says more about the incompetence of the team than it does anything great about Richarlison. Giving Richi kudos for that embarrassment is a bit like saying the dwarf in a village of pygmies is a giant. Let's face it, saying Richarlison is our best player over the last few seasons isn't saying much. The competition is practically non-existent. And worryingly, on this season's form, he's no longer even our best forward, let alone player.

No, as much as I rate him and think he could really develop into something special, right now I wouldn't be losing too much sleep over any departure. He's just not all that right now. I suppose once you've had the boy Rooney sold out from under your feet, no player is worth losing sleep over. I think my naive days of innocence are long gone. There'll be another Richarlison along soon enough...

Best numbers of his career so far this year.
They are but it is more a case of his strengths being stronger than the last couple of years than his weaknesses, which imo are quite problematic given his position, being ironed out.

Richarlison is a wide forward.

That's why he worked so well in that 4-3-3 at the start of the season.

Last few games we have been playing 4-4-1-1 pretty much. It's needs must.

Really don't think he's even been playing badly. Stuff just hasn't been quite coming off for him. Vital part of the team.
And I agree with this. I think he's vital because we don't have anyone else close to as good but he's really starting to feel like for me a player who needs the right setup to got close to his top level. The fullback support has to be right and so does the service into him. When the team starts to fall off he just kind of goes with it.

I wouldn't say he's playing badly necessarily I'm just disappointed that I don't think he's taking the next step that I had hoped he might.

If a very ordinary football player has a great work rate and forces the opponent to account for them on every possession, sure.

Part of the reason that DCL has been able to convert things coming in from the right is that the defense can't cheat on DCL and has to make sure they're in position to stop the threat on the left as well.

He's more than his stats, and it's not a pcoincidence that our results without him have been poor this season. We can get by without him, or we can get by without the other pieces we've been living without, but we do not seem to be able to get by without both him and the other absent pieces.

We couldn't even last the remainder of that game without him, if he was on Cavani would not have scored, I find it very hard to applaud us recently, even though we have won games the football has been horrid. We are just piling everyone behind the ball and cannot get up the pitch, the points are welcome but I need to see more in attack. If James was playing this deep he'd be dreadful also so him coming back isn't really a solution to anything, we need to learn to keep the ball and we need to stop defending so deep.
