I have to disagree about the Grealish comment. Jack has been consistent and has been remarkable for Villa.

I don't think we would get £100m for Richarlison. He would have to have an incredible two or three seasons for it even to be considered.

I want to be excited by an Everton player. I loved it when Alan Ball got on the ball and took on players. I loved when Kanchelskis or Steven bombed down the wing. I loved seeing Bob Latchford soar through the air to head the ball. On this team, for me, only Richarlison fits this bill. Who’s more prolific as a winger? Watford want 70mil for Sarr, he can’t post the numbers Richarlison does. Neto or Raphina again both great players and what would there clubs want, again still a long way off Richarlison’s numbers. Look at Traore ffs headless chicken 7 goals in over a 100 games for wolves, going for 40mil. You’ve named players who can’t even get one cap for England, you’re acting like Brazil are Scotland.

It doesn’t matter what you think his value is, the club will value him a lot higher than 65mil. And if nobody wants to pay it. Great we will keep him.

Sancho is 3 years younger than Richarlison, with greater experience and better numbers and he went for £72m. Even the likes of Fati, Greenwood, Torres who are much younger and score more frequently would struggle to go for that figure.

Richarlison is comparable to a player like Oyarzabal. Both very good players, but this summer nobody is paying £50m+ for a wide player who is anything other than world class. Richy needs a big season to get his move, if he doesn't then he will stay, simple.

….Grealish looks a better player because of his fancy appearance & playing style but I’ve watched him closely & I don’t think he’s nearly as effective a footballer as Richarlison.

We do our own players down, Richarlison is a regular starter for Brazil, Grealish rarely starts for England and got subbed when he came on as sub. I think he’s very overrated and extremely overpriced.

Last year Rich was average at best, he is no where near the same level of player.

According to the Athletic, Man City only offered £100m for Kane and didn't even really try that hard to get him. If the richest club in the world won't move on one of the best strikers in the world, then I think in this market, the best we could hope for would be £60m/£70m.

I really hope we keep him one more year, he seems happy, and then if we have to sell him next year, we will be doing so in a much better market when the Spanish and Italian clubs have recovered from Covid. It will also allow us to approach it like Villa did with Grealish. Spend the money before the sale, everything was organised.

I've made the mistake of becoming emotionally connected with this bloke. Will be shattered when he leaves.

But the club won’t sell for that price. He’s has 3.5 years left. I wonder if the club will wait for the World Cup in 14months and hope he has a brilliant tournament. But apparently Brazil aren’t all that, so they probably won’t qualify.

And a lot of this comes down to the buying club. Maguire 80mil because it’s Utd. say Spurs wanted maguire. It would have been 60 tops.

We can’t really replace him for 60/70mil. It would mean spending 30/40 mil on gambles from abroad. Because players in this country, like I’ve already mentioned, sarr, Neto, Raphina. There clubs would want 60/70 mil for them

??!??? He got took off with a minute of extra time remaining because of a penalty shoot out? This entire take is absolutely horrifying, Grealish is miles better at everything except scoring goals. Because he’s not a striker.

100% agree, lets see what numbers Sancho ends up posting over the next 24 months in a Top4 side that score for fun before comparing what Richy has done for a side that struggles to create.
Below his best last season but his work ethic and influence would be massive for a big team full of superstars. A bit like Suarez with Neymar and Messi at Barca, uglier on the eye but massively effective.

Richarlison got 7 goals and 3 assists in 34 league games last season.
Grealish got 6 goals and 10 assists in 26 league games last season.

Both 25 this season, City paid a premium for Grealish being English and joining another English club too. Not sure it's an accurate comparison.

De Bruyne, Aubameyang, Son, Sane, Firmino, Gundogan, plenty of very good players have come from the Bundesliga too.
