But if you’ve got no money or not much, how do you go and spend 50mil, on the hope someone comes in for Richarlison late in the window. City had obviously bid forAgreed 100m is a great deal...but timing is all wrong now...gives us no time to replace him, and every other club would know we were rich and desperate (If Brands was any good at his job, we'd have planned for this moment and identified the young players we would look to bring in, but I very doubt that's the case)...
Tell PSG, 100m next June you have a deal

Grealish and villa knew they were getting the money for him.
We could have been in a situation, where we give Richarlison away for 50mil because we’re desperate
…..I doubt he’d go at this stage for anything <£90m.
The other unknown, however, is whether he inserted a release clause in his latest contract. No idea if he did, but we had no idea Ancelotti had one in his if Real Madrid came calling.
I’m not just talking about their title win. Look at the recruitment of Leicester post Walsh. You cannot even compare it to the hundreds of millions we have wasted.Mr. Walsh was part of their scouting network the year they won the league. He was our 1st dof. Still didn't work. The planets have to align for stuff like Leicester to happen.
We've seen our "own" force moves all throughout the years , I just think he couldn't get out. Yes they do but when do we stop it ? Has to be soon if we want to compete anywhere. But Kane is Spurs through and through (he’s one of their own remember) Richarlison has no attachment to Everton. Sadly as one of our better players he sees us a stepping stone to a bigger club.
I think we would know if he has. The press knew Grealish had a 100mil release clause and Kane didn’t. These type of things get out…..I doubt he’d go at this stage for anything <£90m.

But his first 2 seasons at the club, taking out penalties. And playing on the wing for over 50% of them games . For a team finishing 8th & 12th. He scored more than, Firmino, Son, Rashford, Martial, lacazette, jota And Jimenez. So it works both ways. He's not going anywhere this late in the window, mainly because we'd demand a fee that no team would be prepared to pay for a player who scored less than McGoldrick, Maupay, Adams, Benteke, El Ghazi, Dallas, Willock, Ward-Prowse, Bowen and Harrison last season.
Richy will stick around for another season, which is good news for Everton, even if it means he is playing out of his skin for a move next summer. Whenever he does move on, I do not think he is irreplaceable.

Yes he wasn’t great last season, playing for a manger who was very defensive didn’t help him. He already has a goal and an assist this season. Of the players you’ve named. How many would have 32 caps for Brazil at 24?
Who’s more prolific as a winger? Watford want 70mil for Sarr, he can’t post the numbers Richarlison does. Neto or Raphina again both great players and what would there clubs want, again still a long way off Richarlison’s numbers. Look at Traore ffs headless chicken 7 goals in over a 100 games for wolves, going for 40mil. You’ve named players who can’t even get one cap for England, you’re acting like Brazil are Scotland.I'm not saying he's automatically a bad player because of a bad season, just that right now a club isn't likely to spend >£65m on him when there are better, younger and / or more prolific options with higher ceilings available for cheaper. I'm not sure that 32 caps for Brazil is impressive enough to change that when you consider you don't have to be a top player to play regularly for Brazil. A big season for him this year might, though.
I agree. But the £50m the poster mentioned was had we jumped the gun and bought our replacements before the deal was done. Potential buyers would know we HAD to sell so they could negotiate the price down.…..I doubt he’d go at this stage for anything <£90m.

According to the Athletic, Man City only offered £100m for Kane and didn't even really try that hard to get him. If the richest club in the world won't move on one of the best strikers in the world, then I think in this market, the best we could hope for would be £60m/£70m.
I really hope we keep him one more year, he seems happy, and then if we have to sell him next year, we will be doing so in a much better market when the Spanish and Italian clubs have recovered from Covid. It will also allow us to approach it like Villa did with Grealish. Spend the money before the sale, everything was organised.
I've made the mistake of becoming emotionally connected with this bloke. Will be shattered when he leaves.
