It would also give us less time to reinvest. Needs sorting as the first piece of business this window. Supplying us with a big chunk of change may be the most important thing Richy does for us

HA! Is that whats going on here? They thought Digne left us because he wanted to go to a ‘better’ club? Thats beyond delusional, maybe they should read up on the circumstances around him leaving Everton.

Im assuming its the reason they think Richarlison would move from us to them, there cant be any other reason as its a sideways move at best. The only reason he is moving is he will go to a bigger club/play in the CL, neither applies to Villa.

Its a bit wierd tbh.

I would love him to stay at Goodison for another season but if that means he leaves NEXT summer for half the fee, that would be a mistake for the club. If he can be persuaded to sign an extension then that would be a different avenue worth pursuing... But with finances as tight as they are I can't see it happening.

He's a great lad who has been fully committed from day one and will be fondly remembered by any sensible Blue. Just don't sell him to a Prem club.

If he goes to a foreign side £75mil. An English club £85mil...with £5mil lee way for both.

Couldnt care less really who he joins as long as we bring in those fees.

What I do think though is for that level of transfer fee we need to sign 2 or 3 players and they really need to double in value at least to make the most of this opportunity.

I know that Benitez was happy for Digne to go, but he didn't have to go, surely.

It was the club's decision in the end, so why if it was known that Benitez was about to be sacked, did the transfer go through.

I know this has been gone through here before, but none of it makes sense.

Can someone explain it to me again.

It wasnt known he would be sacked, I mean clearly his job was in danger, but at the time we had no DoF, he probably told the people in charge he was disruptive and he wanted him sold, at that point it was easier to sell an unhappy player for decent money rather than back the player and pee off a manager they still had a degree of faith in.

It suited us, we used his transfer to purchase 2 players, whether those players were worth the outlay is TBC.
 

Ok so according to the opinions expressed here there's zero chance of Richarlison signing for lowly Aston Villa despite the bookie's making them favourite to do so.

Zero chance should translate to odds of well over 1,000-1.

Does anyone here want to wager £100 with me at odds of 500-1
Surely this is a great opportunity to pocket an easy £100 from a villa upstart whilst profiting from your unfathomable bile and hatred towards my club. Ok single file please.

according to the bookies villa arent even in the betting!

in fact theres more chance of him going to west ham or leicester!
