I think he is likely to leave. A reunion with Carlo would be nice. I just don’t want him going to another Premier League team above all else. It’d hurt too much.

Don’t think a Villa move makes sense
1. Despite what the table said this past season, we’re competitors for that ‘best of the rest’ spot
2. To Richarlison it is probably a sideways move and he wants CL
3. Doesn’t really make sense from a Villa pov, not a clear upgrade on what we have & it would cost upward of 50 million

Dont see Richy staying with Gray and Alli, with Gordon being able to play the same position. Been some forward thinking for once.

Gordon is a hard working , talented prospect who has too little end product at present. Gray and Dele are brilliant on their day unfortunately they only have about 10 ‘days’ between them each season.

But Villa aint immune from the rules - your revenues are less than clubs like us and WHU. You were a dodgy goal line tech decision away from being relegated (again) and in financial trouble and selling Grealish for half of what you ended up getting for him.

Its really simple - Villa (or any other club outside the scab 6) can't keep spending £100-150 million a season paying 10+ players in the squad £100-170k a week contracts and not be finishing in the top 4 as eventually it catches up with you not having the CL riches to cover your expenditure and this time you dont have a media darling like Grealish to sell for a massive fee off the back of a world cup.

Just 7 players highlighted Who you've spent big fees on and/or paying in excess of 100k a week and none of them you'll be able to sell on for a profit barring Kamara but even he may struggle to adapt to the PL as France is a much weaker league - just look at players like Ndombele and Pepe who looked quality in Ligue 1 to come to the PL for monster fees and flop.

You're sleepwalking into trouble and Gerrard will leave you in a mess and you are too star struck to see it dreaming about spending another £80-90 million on Richarlison !

Of the 7 players u list, we need depth in the squad. I would like to offload Traore but the rest are very good squad or first team players. To stay in the PL we need players like this.

He does not score enough goals and will not move us forward, we need a clinical striker and not a wide man that contributes 10 or so goals, we already have them

Well I hope he's either sold, or pens a new 3 year deal withing 10 minutes of the window opening.

More than ever this season we need to know the squad Lampard has to work with and hope they get a good few weeks of meaningful training in. Don't need any uncertanties with 7 days to kick of. Get it done.
