Look mate, its this simple, you will never sign Richarlison, you are a nothing club that will probably get relegated, AGAIN, very soon.

Nothing you can do will change that, some clubs are just destined to be yoyo clubs, its not that bad, you get to visit different grounds.

So enjoy your "finished above Everton for once" trophy and dont forget to mind the gap for the next 50 years.

I don't want to sign Richarlison and I don't think Villa would go after him. You guys will probably want more money than we can afford and if we are to buy a striker I expect we would buy a clinical striker that can get 15+ goals a season. Richy is not a player that would fit that.

Chambers is 27 and has a lot to prove so no loss of hunger, he has actually been our best defender since we signed him.

He's also not really a "striker" he can play up there but he's a wide forward.

This is true. But you're not signing top drawer quality. Did i read digne was on 160k a week. There is a reason digne ended up at aston villa. No team competing for the major honours wanted him. And he was available for them.
Good luck to you. Its hard to break into as its hard to get top drawer players. You just end up with players like digne who fall just short. Im sure you've already noticed, good going forward. But cant defend. Thats why he is at aston villa and Everton previously.

I agree, Slippy will take the Liverpool job in a heartbeat. But, if he gets offered it, which he clearly wants, he needs to prove himself at Villa first. If he is rubbish at Villa he ain't getting the job at Liverpool so he will want to succeed at Villa. I am very happy with that and when he leaves we just get a new manager.

But Villa aint immune from the rules - your revenues are less than clubs like us and WHU. You were a dodgy goal line tech decision away from being relegated (again) and in financial trouble and selling Grealish for half of what you ended up getting for him.

Its really simple - Villa (or any other club outside the scab 6) can't keep spending £100-150 million a season paying 10+ players in the squad £100-170k a week contracts and not be finishing in the top 4 as eventually it catches up with you not having the CL riches to cover your expenditure and this time you dont have a media darling like Grealish to sell for a massive fee off the back of a world cup.

Just 7 players highlighted Who you've spent big fees on and/or paying in excess of 100k a week and none of them you'll be able to sell on for a profit barring Kamara but even he may struggle to adapt to the PL as France is a much weaker league - just look at players like Ndombele and Pepe who looked quality in Ligue 1 to come to the PL for monster fees and flop.

You're sleepwalking into trouble and Gerrard will leave you in a mess and you are too star struck to see it dreaming about spending another £80-90 million on Richarlison !

Thought he disrespected your club when he was at the champions league final I know he was doing press stuff but come on have some respect imo.

Not for nothing but we said the same about Koeman and Barca. AAAAAaaand that didn't matter, he STILL got the Barca job after bombing out here.

That on the face of it smacks of desperation because we cant do any better and isn`t enough to keep ambitious players like Richy happy.

Chicken and egg.

We could possibly make him stay by signing some good players and showing ambition in the transfer window and when I say possibly, I mean probably a 2% chance. But even after selling him we wouldnt have enough money to make him stay.
