That’s a bit like saying Everton are one of the best teams in England. Out of the 100s yes, but the gap between us an the top is an absolute cavern so the claim looks ridiculous.

If the world record fee is more than double the 80 mill figure, and top players have been moving about for fees above that figure, and will be moving about for fees above that figure, then I wouldn’t say it was one of the highest transfer fees. In fact that fee right now gets you a prospect from the Portuguese league. If you wanted to buy a true young established world class player mid contract you’re into the 100 mill plus range.
It isn't hard to see why Nunez is a more attractive prospect and thus worth more

Yes all very fair mate.

I think he would get better in a better team.

10 goals a season for us, as a wide forward is good, but it's not exceptional. It's like Bowen, or Mane (at Southampton) or Jota (at Wolves). 50-60m is a fair valuation. Wed love more like, but dont think it's a total rip off.

I agree it's a shame we cant offer him more. But I suppose I've accepted that and at peace with it. I hope we can put the money to good use.

Not just goals though. I think he has the mentality of a narky winner. Sulks if he loses. Exactly like Conte himself. And i think Conte see's enough to sniff that.
Little things ive noticed about Richarlison aswell with that. Like when there are flare ups on the pitch with opposition players. Good hungry successful sides you always see them having their team mates back. I wish Everton did that more. Richalison does it. I love that.

He will go up levels in a better team he has dragged us through at times with his mentality that's the kind of thing you don't see on a "stats" break down.

Puts in a shift and he's a very good player. But I'm not convinced he's elite level. Wouldn't rule it out in a better team, but, to me it just doesn't seem like he has it. Time will tell.
