Obviously they need a good squad next season but obviously Kane and Son are massively superior to Richy so he'll be rotating with Kulusevski who was excellent last season. At 21, nobody knew how good he could possibly be. His price tag was because he was so young and had the potential to develop into a world class player.
At 25, after 6 seasons in the Premier League, everybody now has a good idea of Richys ability. He is very good but is not going to make a huge leap.
He isn't going to suddenly go from 10 goals a season to 20+ goals a season. He can be an important team player and will help Spurs but I am not expecting him to compete for the golden boot. He will probably score 10-12 again for Spurs next season.
I’m sure our accredited scouting network have suitably identified a replacement who matches his ethic and output
What over priced PL player will they have their sights on
Sadly we aren't in the position to develop young players. Richarlison's replacement has to produce from day one. It’s ok the buy players young, develop them and then sell for a profit.
As long as you replace them well of course .
But it’s bad when you sell them to a club you wanted to compete with a couple of years ago.
Buy well and this isn’t a bad deal all round.
I don't think because a player done well you were proven wrong. if we go out and spend 50m on his replacement who scored 5 goals last season, for example Broja, that's overpaying. Him turning into 50m player doesnt mean he was worth it at the time.At the time I did feel that.
Was proven wrong.
To make such a measly profit, if any, is pretty poor.
But needs must, Everton made themselves vulnerable.
Richarlison wouldn't have rocked the boat for Spurs, in a World Cup year.
If we weren't so inept, we may have had a chance in keeping him if no elite/top clubs come in.
The sooner we get a team in place who can buy well, it'll help us to also sell well.
Frank and Kev are the only two I’m pinning hope onI hold no hope with this club unfortunately.
They haven’t at all, they’ve got a bargain. If you just look at stats alone Spurs have paid way too much. Just over ten Prem goals averaged over four seasons.
Oh god, I’ve got nightmares alreadyIf this wasa crossword it would be five across Burnley attacker, 6 letters;
C_rn_t.
Question: Burnley attacker made of wet weetabix.
Ok, it was only his second most common finishing position.
If we were linked with a player with a similar scoring record in the Prem over four seasons for fifty million plus the forum would implode. At 21, nobody knew how good he could possibly be. His price tag was because he was so young and had the potential to develop into a world class player.

But market value & player prices are not based on failed players, else why do the prices keep going up !?!
