Genuine question though not overly important as its always an opinion to me this one.
But is there a difference between cult status and club legend?
If anyone asked me to reel off Everton club legends i stop at about 10 or 11.

At least when Fellaini went we brought in Lukaku/Barry on loan and McCarthy who was good first season
At least when Rooney was sold we reinvested and started building that first proper Moyes team and finished fourth
Was it went Lukaku was sold we brought in Richy for less than half the price? I don’t remember exactly.

Point being - does anyone feel good about us reinvesting as well as we used to?

Spurs in the league have been substantially better than us since Moyes left. We've barely featured in the top 6 since whereas Spurs have been there or higher every year since about 2008.

The lad put in higher than average effort and loved scoring for Everton.
But he also spends half the game feigning injury, was a major part of the worst performing Everton squad in decades, and had some terrible patches.

£60m is decent. £60m to Spurs is poor. But hardly going to lose sleep over it. Being called a legend by some is amazing to me.

A legend to me, is a player that`s memorable for the impact he`s had at the club, whether it`s intentional or not.

Ball, Harvey and Kendal - ( player and manager )
Joey Royle - ( player and manager )
Latchford
Kanchelskis
Southall
Campbell - kept us up, first black captain and changed the whole ethos of the club.
Richarlison - kept us up, never say die.
