2021/22 Richarlison

I'm gutted at the thought of selling Richarlison. However if we reinvest the money on a RB, RF and CM we might be in a better position overall. We already have Gray LF and DCL ST in his 2 preferred positions. If the RF covers RW and ST we still retain a decent back up ST. Its sad that we've come to this point but it is the reality now. If he scores a few this season hopefully he'll leave us on a high and for maximum value.

There in lies the fear, our recent history of buys suggests we will lose a valuable 1st team starter only to be replaced by 3 player of potential or fading player that will not deliver, either because they simply aren’t good enough or they see lil old Everton as pension topper.
Basically, if we got £100m for Richarlison can we trust our executives not to waste it….

Issue is DCL is unlikely to stay around without any progression either. Even this summer he was very non committal towards us when asked. We may be needing to replace him and Richie. And it's also dependant on Gray keeping up his form in which it's very early days.

Think both richarlison and DCL will go this summer mid table finishes are no good for young players who have ambitions of playing in Europe a sad state of affairs
Richarlison I can definitely see going, he will kick up a fuss. And we may have to sell for less than we want, I suppose it works both ways and hopefully the players we bring in will cost less.

DCL will stay IMO. He’s not going to rock the boat next summer and we’d only sell him for big money. And I doubt many clubs with huge money will be in for him. Utd? City? I suppose it will depend on where haaland goes

Oh I absolutely agree about also losing DCL but that in theory adds even more to the pot. It's horrific that we are in this position but when you spend £500million so badly this is the consequence. Hopefully that will focus everyone's minds when we reinvest.

Richarlison will go but DCL is our level only side he would have maybe gone was Utd but thats a none starter now Ronaldo is there.

I love Richy but his stropping, fighting over pens and moodiness does get on my tits at times. Think if you could find a similiar quality player then it wouldn't be a disaster losing him.

The problem is if you DONT replace him adequately enough.
