Why ignore what I said?

Match goers view are replicated on here, I don't know one Blue who still wants this fella to stay beyond the seasons end.
Where did I ignore what you said?
Matchgoers views certainly are replicated on this issue.
On other issues, particularly with regard to the board they haven't, as the discussion has attracted the extremists.
If you want to have a reasonable discussion turn down the angst please.

I do, and I still believe that most don't want him sacked in the morning. We'd be a laughing stock if we sacked our manager in April. Not sure many blues want us to be a laughing stock....

I agree that long-term, most have turned against him, but as a club, and a fan-base, we're above and beyond sacking him just yet.

Think you're wrong to be honest. The poll on here reflects that.

What the club do and what the fanbase want aren't the same thing though.

The question was about the view of the fanbase not the owners

Really want Martinez to succeed. Really do. And from his most recent interview it sounds like he realises his time is coming to an end if things keep going this way. Going to be an ugly couple of months for the club.

One thing at a time.

1. Don't play the ref
2. Do as you're told
3. If someone's acting out of order, use the report function

I havn't read everything here so don't know exactly what's going on, and I'm about to logoff, but it would depend on the context.

I wasn't playing the ref, I was doing as I was told and I didn't see it as report-worthy because we're all adults and should be able to deal with petty things in a reasonable matter.

If you think that match goers view aren't replicated on here, then you're going to a different match to me mate.

Save the patronising tone btw.

I must say I'm anti Martinez to the core but if I was the one who awarded him more years and loads more money onto his contract after one season I'd be utterly embarrassed but I'd be backing him to the hilt in the media and summoning black magic sacrificing goats in the hope he can turn it around.

With 40k people at the ground there's going to be plenty of different people with different views.
As I said before, with regards to the board, we had a poll on here with plenty of people voting in that had 75% or thereabouts wanting the board out.
However when Bill Kenwright's smiling face came up on the big screen, he got a hand and a half of applause.

Not round me there isn't. We're fed up of the cack being served up by this fella.

Kenwright had nothing to do with this debate, and the applause was 4 years ago mate, and was a result of the pre match cake debacle as much as it was a vote of confidence for Kenwright btw.

Under-fire Everton boss Roberto Martinez determined to prove himself to fans calling for his head

"I expect scrutiny and disappointment will be there when we don’t win games" says manager whose talented Toffees are just 12th with eight games left

Martinez has taken Everton to the semis of both Cups but league results have been poor
Roberto Martinez plans to prove to the fans he’s the right man for Everton.

Boss Martinez has come under fire this season following a season of under-achievement in the Premier League.

Despite a star-studded squad, the Toffees are nearer the drop zone than the European qualification places with eight matches to go.

Martinez has taken them to the semi-finals of the FA Cup and Capital One Cup, but knows he still needs to convince the supporters he can take their team forward.

“I need to show that," said the Spaniard. "I’m not someone who is going to come up with excuses.

But Martinez - looking to end a run of three straight league defeats at potential FA Cup final opponents Watford on Saturday – is not panicking.

He added: “Romelu has been a success story. He is on a long-term contract. It’s not that we are going to lose him on a free.

"Ideally we want to keep Romelu for the long term, because we want to be in the Champions League as well.

“There is a track record that we are going to become stronger, window after transfer window.

“The worry is ‘We haven’t got money, we have to sell our best assets because we have to balance the books’. We are not in that situation.”

Thats the vision from the youth teams up. This means he will stick to his plans come rain or shine as its a long term plan.

Only way to speed it up is through money.

So improve the youth teams buy buying players for big bucks so that the youth players find it harder to break into the first team

Given Martinez record on bringing through youth players that's probably about right

Why would we be a laughing stock exactly. Explain the logic behind that statement

The logical thing to do is sack him in April and give a new manager as much time as possible with the squad. Not start searching for a manager in the summer and get him in when most of the squad is away at the euros

I'm not sure where you get your ideas on football

But by far the most important point is that we shouldn't care what others think we should care about what is best for Everton

If we sacked Martinez tomorrow then not one single fan across the country would bat an eye lid. If anything fans from other clubs find it hilarious how little pressure he is seemingly under.

Also from the same press conference and reported in the mirror.

“But I don’t have to sell any smoke. I need to win football games in order for the fans to understand that’s the way forward.”

Before someone inevitably bags him for his comments, I think he's said things about as straight laced as he can.
