It would be ace if we went out there today, jacked off all the rubbish tactics dished out by the clown, and win despite of him not because of him. We need our players to show some heart and be able to hold their heads up when the manager eventually gets sacked, we're not Newcastle United.

I want Martinez out as much as anyone but ive got a tenner on us to win today. The two previous times ive put money on us to win we have. Get it on lads. COYB.

Mate I know but what options are they're? The board are doing f all so far and it's making us become a joke

The board is in the middle of a takeover, this season's a dead duck and I'm pretty sure that they know it. The cup is the only viable option to making this season remotely acceptable.

If he wins it, great for the fans. If he loses it then it'll be the bullet he needs. Regardless, I seriously can't see him being here next season, I wouldn't be surprised if they are reviewing their options now.

The board is going to be ruthless once the takeover goes through, they won't stand for subpar league placings and dire football. The crowd speaks for itself, they'll have ears everywhere and they'll want to make a statement to the fans.

I want Cup and Mart
Cup yes, Martinez, no. He's a wigan-level manager. God in fact he wasn't even that. That sweating kopite mess, Jewell did better than him. Ffs can't get that image of him in his vest from his sex tape out my head. Day ruined.

If you could *guarantee* me that it would lead to Martinez going and a properly top drawer manager coming in, then I'd grudgingly take the loss against Watford.

But it is baffling how enthusiastically some people want us to lose games, when there's absolutely no guarantee of anything along those lines happenings.

Honestly think that until the united situation is sorted we won't see our sorted, think we could genuinely be holding out hoping they stay with LVG, if mosh has connections like supposedly he does with Mendes then we could well be pencilled in as Mourinhos plan B if he has gotten word that United is far from a done deal - failing that think Pelligrini will be sounded out

Wow, things have taken a real downward trend haven't they judging by the level of acrimony between any number of posters over the potential future of El Bob.

For some Blues to even contemplate that the team losing games is either necessary or beneficial in hastening the manager being removed from office is worrying, as being supporters, we should all be behind the club in wanting nothing but victories and hopefully with the added bonus of victories in style and with a swagger.

The problem though lies with the senior echelons within the club who need to make decision and nail it's colours to the mast. Either RM is to be unequivocally endorsed and supported (seems unlikely and the majority of this poll would be dead against), or he needs to be politely removed and replaced.

With the wonderful benefit of hindsight, I think had it been my decision the sheer nature of the capitulation against West Ham and then the total non-performance against Arsenal - on top of 18 months of abject mediocrity - would have seen me end his tenure within minutes of the final whistle against Arsenal.

At the very least, we would have had two weeks grace ahead of the Manu game to either appoint an interim manager or make serious moves in trying to recruit a new one, address behind closed doors all the first team squad both collectively and individually and hopefully re-invigorate the fan base.

Sadly, for whatever reasons, neither a ringing endorsement nor dismissal of El Bob ensued and so, we've lumbered on with players voicing concerns, intimating they want to leave and the manager compounding the voiced concerns and continuing to talk what is largely considered nothing short of delusional twaddle.

Net result of the lack of decisiveness within the senior echelons... Turmoil within the fan base leading to a minority now wishing to see games lost.

A very, very sad and disturbing state of affairs.
