How about Martinez out and Moyes in as caretaker manager for the rest of the season doing a Gus Hiddinck. Would quickly get the defence organised and a bit of self respect back.

In fact that could be a good role for Moyes - come in and steady the ship every 3 years after we sack a manger

Would be a backwards step and besides, I suspect Moyes is headed to Newcastle any day now.

I was half joking but also a bit serious too - part of me would like to see how he would get on with players as good as we have now.

My guess is we'd finish higher than under Martinez, though of course Moyes had/has his own weaknesses which are the exact opposite of Martinez's.

If only we could combine the best of each of them we would have the perfect manager

3 years is long enough to make a rational judgement on whether someone is up to the job or not. He clearly isn't. Out at the end of season for me unless there is a sudden and dramatic change of fortune, but there is more chance of hell freezing over than that happening.
I don't want a fortuitous manager - I want a good one. We can get lucky and get 10 lucky wins in a row (last minute wins, own goals, opposition always out of form etc) and he won't be a better manager for it tbh.

If he brings someone in ASAP to help defensively - a new coach etc - and shows he wants to change that side of his philosophy, then I'm okay with giving him an extended chance. As you said though, more chance of hell freezing over.

I agree about 3 years. For me winning the FA cup will not be enough if I don't see a fundamental change in the way we play (having and keeping defensive shape)

There has been 1237 votes so far in the poll of which 476 are voting in. I would ask any of those 476 why afrtye looking at today's result and the season they are voting in . What is you are seeing in RM?

Or 3 wins and 2 draws, what are the chances to make that up hoping the teams above will lose all their games to make way.

With Man U and Liverpool away. Christ home games v Arsenal Bournemouth and Southampton don't even look winnable. Remember fortress goodison?? 13 home defeats in 18 months is too much for me. Here we are 8 months into a season with 4 home wins. That's one every two months. It's an out from me. Shame because I would have loved for him to succeed and have backed him totally till now. Though Mirallas should hang his head in shame and pack his bags for today.

Danny made a ruling on this the other week, I'd have to sneak in and reset the poll when it's quiet.

Anyway, Martinez.

For me, he still has the job for the rest of the season and then it gets reviewed.

Plainly I don't run the club, well, not yet, so my view means nothing.
Not a chance.

It's cloud cuckoo land on here after every defeat. The manager is leading this team next season and you know it. We've been here many times before and we know that a couple of wins stabilises matters. We beat Chelsea next week and then it's forgotten.

We have a manager who's assembled a great group of players who buy into what he says, but they lack a couple of characters who can lead them on the pitch.

That's easily sorted.

I have never know such a poor home record for our club and I have been watching since the early 60s!

Will you ever let Bobby go?
