I was only a young kid when Walter Smith was sacked, and not even one when a Walker was. Was the hate for a manager as much as this?

Everyone seemed really angry before and obviously after the game on Saturday.

Smith had the no money excuse, which saved him for a good few years and Walker was disposed of pretty quickly.

And we never got smashed by Liverpool under Smith ...

I think smith lost the plot at one point and ended up signing veterans way past it like David ginola and Paul Gascoigne. Why hasn't Martinez been sacked yet btw? How hard is it to say your fired? Heck get Alan sugar to do it for you if you ain't got the gumption bill!

I honestly thought he'd have the common sense to resign if we lost.

Looks like he's in a little bubble of his own, which could well be burst if he's in charge for our next two home games.

Open poll at toffee web shows 95% want him gone, I've never seen anything like this in living memory.

And what reason does he want to continue spurting denial day after day? His ego is killing him and his career. Ffs Bobby let it go!! Let us go!!

95% of how many ?

Even though I was only 9 at the time I don't think that Boro performance was as bad as Wednesday night.

Wednesday was a good team playing badly. The Boro game was an appalling team playing appallingly - which to me is worse, or at least seems easier to fix.

Much better and more successful managers than Roberto Martinez have lost their jobs when the results are poor and things aren't going right on the pitch. This misplaced loyalty in our managers from the board and how we have to be different from other clubs is what is seeing left behind year in year out.

What we have here at Everton are a bunch of cowards afraid to take us to the next level and make the tough decisions. Rather than take a chance we would rather clap along fully embracing our mediocre state because hey at least nobody is rocking the boat. I mean can we all just sit here and really bare the thought of another Roberto Martinez pre season? Of course not. If anybody in that boardroom has even a shred of ambition then Martinez should be clearing his desk at the earliest opportunity and a new manager brought in with time to assess the squad, plan a proper pre season and strengthen in the areas we need to.

But hey don't worry Roberto is a proper nice guy but you know what? I'm sure Carlo Ancelotti is as well yet despite him winning the Champions League on multiple occasions he's been sacked when results haven't been up to scratch.

As far as I am concerned the players can do whatever they want as long as that clown is allowed to stay which includes open revolt and blatantly telling him were to go on the pitch.

Right - as earlier there was no meeting today at FF and he was not sacked. Situation has changed within the last hour and RM has RESIGNED - Orly / Mout you can hunt me down tomorrow if this isn't confirmed. To be fair to RM he has shown at least a dignity - must have realised the tidal wave of fan opinion.
Come on mate. Come on out now. I can see you've been lurking around. Now, rub this fox urine on you and we'll give you five minutes.

This what I was stating on the Moshiri thread about having a back bone of steel and had "cold water" tipped on me.

You really are ridiculous aren't you?
