He won the Europa league. Mourinho won the CL at Porto.

I am obviously losing my marbles a bit atm BUT that being said, IF that statement was made I think there would be quite a lot, including you and I, who would say 'fair enough' and look forward to a summer of spending.

Hes still only 38 which is mad to me.

Hes an interesting shout either way. The main worry to me would be how he wasted the Bale money.

Who says we want Yarmalenko? Its a transfer rumour. We may have other targets. You cant have a go at the club over a transfer rumour and get upset at rumours that he may or may not go elsewhere. It seems to be an Everton thing these days, getting upset over stuff that hasnt and may not happen. If we make a play for Yarmalenko and then he goes elsewhere then its fine to have a moan.

The tunnel incident was enough for me poor guy looked destroyed. Being asked to play to Martinez`s philosophy has crushed him
Barklay is a great player, when Martinez is canned these guys will excell as they will not be held back with his restrictive broken philosophy
of how to win a football match, which Martinez says doesnt matter as its about `how you play and not the result` ....
Not suprised Barklay is holding out to see if things improve under Moshiri

Re Yarmalenko were would a player go who wanted success? Kopites with Klopp or us with `Wigans relegation specialists` not really a hard choice !

Honestly I think he is mentally weak. I think a lot of our players are actually but he is the worst for it.

Barkley aint a great player. Not yet anyway. If he just realised how good he is then we would have a proper diamond on our hands.

Id say he has more ability than Deli Alli but Alli is incredibly confident and it makes him a much better all round player. Barkley is what? 22 now? An England International and a regular in the top flight for 3 years. He shouldnt need someone to hold his hand anymore.

Oh and 99.9% of players would chose the other lot over us. And thats got nothing to do with us and everything to do with them.

I dont fancy Yarmalenko anyway btw....

Would be ace, sadly I don't think he would work for Bill Kenwright in a million years.

Also, aside from fostering two kids, he works with disadvantaged kids, trying to get them to get their acts together and he loves it.

I doubt he would step away from that.

Both fascinating and heartbreaking at the same time. The thing that really struck home was when he said "we never thought we were ever going to lose" and "every year we should be trying to win the league". I've been saying this for many years, we might not win it but at least we have to be competing, and that's a mindset that that has been eroded over the past 20 or so years. It's happened so slowly that we've all forgotten what it's like. We've all been brainwashed into accepting mediocrity.

To be fair Lamela is a good player. Just took a while to settle and they did overpay but it's hard not to when selling clubs know you just got £80m. Also bought Eriksen didn't he? For a measly £8m.
