We are going further down each season it won't end pretty keeping him.

The seasons not over.

We are clearly better than last seasons mess.

Not a celebration of what is happening this season, just pointing out that "going further down" doesn´t mean much right now and is not a fact.

I know you want him out. I think you were moaning about him way too early last season but understand your position now...however just bashing him every post is not very reasonable at all.

How are we better than last season dude.
We have had no europe,a better squad and are worse off in the league.
If you don't want to see him getting grief stay off the forum mr header.
Its all about opinions and its been going on for 2 years with coco with both camps having their say.

While I agree with all you have written, does your argument get blown up into flames if one or more hand in transfer requests this Summer?

I think the players recognise that it's their fault we're not higher up the league rather than the failings of the manager or lack of ambition from the board. Lukaku might decide that he needs more of a challenge but we'll get a huge fee for him. I don't see there being a mass exodus.

I was thinking about your first point earlier today, about Rom.

I'm not convinced by Dunc as a coach, but the area most improved in Roms game could easily have been worked on at Finch Farm ?

Rom is more aggressive this term. He could still do better in the air but we don't really supply that many crosses into the box.

I think that Dunc is employed more as a talisman. He commands respect and fear.

That's unfair. Our attacking players must be miffed that we've scored over 50 goals and are sitting in 12th.

Heads are easily turned once a bid comes in so I can see at least 2 leaving.

Wigan spent eight seasons in the Premier League – The final four were under Martinez. Their finishes, and point total were:-

Year Pos Pts
05-06 10 51
06-07 17 38
07-08 14 40
08-09 11 45
09-10 16 36
10-11 16 42
11-12 15 43
12-13 18 36

Look at the decline from when he took over.

If anything, after four full seasons in the premier league, Wigan were in a much better position to survive when he started. He somehow took them from almost mid-table obscurity, to relegation candidates every season. His best season was the dizzy heights of 15th – a position they bettered on three occasions before he got there. His brand of football cost Wigan their premier league status. This is undeniable. On the other hand, he did have that great cup run.

If he made Wigan worse, how can he make Everton better?

well...so my question can't be asked when the point was

"They feel loyal to him. If he goes, they might follow."

And I may be wrong, but last season's transfer request was refused as it was handed in too late to find a replacement?

Stones only considered leaving when the league champions made it clear how much they wanted him. None of our key players sought a move just to get away from Goodison as far as we're aware.

Roberto had to do a lot of ground work to persuade Lukaku and Deulofeu to join us and he made Stones and Barkley key to his plans. He's very well-liked. If we replaced him with someone who couldn't strike up that same kind of relationship or who wanted to get short-term results with more senior players then our starlets could become disillusioned.

I'm sure that Rom is annoyed that his efforts will probably count for nothing but I think that he's a team player. We've conceded lots of goals from corners and he's one of our best players in the air and he has an important role in helping to defend them.

As is well documented he was tasked with slashing the wage bill at Wigan and selling their best players to generate funds.

He also won an FA Cup.

Why do we need to use Wigan as a stick to beat Martinez with? It shows crazed determination to smear him.

The club accounts tell a different story. Their wage bill went up while he was there, not down.

I think lose saturday in the usual manner and he could well be gone next week. Its a structered takeover, I think Bill
is performing some sort of structered handover, over a period of time with obligations met, ie finance for stadium, finance for transfers etc

I think Moshiri is ambitious and knows this managers limitations.
Would not suprise me in the least if he was relieved of his position next week. Rightly so in my opinion.

Because that's his CV mate, and that's a BIG portion of his experience, and when he says he's an old hand at management & he knows what it's all about, that's a HUGE part of what he's basing it on.

Yet he's learnt SO little from it, makes the same mistakes now as he did then yet he has a VASTLY superior squad of players and talent at his disposal. Suggestive that, for the most, he is massively accountable because his teams adhere to pattern and - by his own admission - they always will...

Out
He´s not a winner. He wants to play like Barcelona but Barcelona win. Nobody would want to pay like Barcelona if they didn´t win. He doesn´t worry about conceding goals therefore his players don´t worry about conceding goals. He prefers to have John Stones doing Cruyff turns on the edge of the six yard box than to teach him how to defend properly. It´s style before substance. He plays Gareth Barry every week because his experience is vital which in reality translates into I don´t know how to defend but he does so he´ll cover my arse. Spurs can put two kids like Dier and Dele Alli in the centre of their midfield and they know what they´re supposed to be doing because they have been coached properly. Our players don´t know what they´re supposed to be doing defensively because the manager doesn´t know what to do defensively. As long as things are going well in a game everything is fine but as soon as a team puts us under pressure or something goes wrong we fold because players don´t know their roles and because there are no consequences for failure. You´ll still be picked next week. He´s technically inept and wants to be Mr. nice guy. Nice guys finish last and that´s where we´re heading with him.
