Feel a bit hurt there ffs

Fair enough though. Suffice to say that no one who has managed in the PL is off limits. No one.

FWIW, I share your concerns re De Bore.
If we get rid of Martinez what would be the point if his successor hadn't won major trophies in the game given the likely level of spending?

It's a very reasonable benchmark and the likes of De Boer et al simply dont meet it.

By all means IF there's a fortune to spend then go out and replace Martinez. The thing is though - and you know it - during the summer we would struggle to get a top class manager in. Even a Koeman wouldn't touch this place with a bargepole given the atmosphere created by the social media mafia and their numb nuts friends in the media.

I'll state categorically now that we're more likely to end up with an Eddie Howe type from the continent than a truly distinguished winner of a manager - an industry leader. W all KNOW it. The stuff being bandied about now about a top class manager if we can get martinez out is pure propaganda...if not, let's get down to brass tacks here and hear from @The Esk what sort of man we can expect that will certainly kick us on......

MONEY talks money talks money talks

No, I wont.

But a top class manager has been hinted at here and if anyone believes that someone like Koeman or De Boer fulfils that is not on.

Top class means exactly that: a manager at the top of the industry with pedigree winning major trophies.
...well given that you wont properly back up your assertion that we'll get a top class manager it probably is time for someone to answer a question or two.

Martinez has our best ever PL campaign without spending the hundreds of millions apparently coming the way of our new "top class" manager from this summer. Only a fool would doubt that he couldn't use that cash to great effect.

In a highly competitive transfer market he could attract as much as any of the dodgy top class managers on your list thus far. Koeman and De Boer have no pedigree in signing top end of the market players, yet you'd let either have the key to the manager's office at Goodison and Moshiri's bank account.

Next season Martinez should place more faith in even greater numbers of younger players coming in and use whatever cash he can muster to buy a top class replacement for Lukaku and and world class goal keeper - something we haven't had since Southall - and run out the club the likes of Baines and Jagielka.

Firstly Martinez doesn't have our best ever premier league performance. Moyes does. Performance is decided by where you finish in the league not by points total otherwise as you like to point we'd have qualified for the champions league instead of getting the famous "fifth place trophy". As for Koeman one thing in his favour is that he is currently managing a team in the top half of the league unlike your hero.
Why would we trust Martinez to manage the players which Moshiri's money will buy when he is so utterly mismanaging the talent he has at the moment.

Hold on, Koeman and De Boer are not in the class of the other two. They are bog standard PL type managers. That is not 'top class'. Winning Eredivisie is not a CV that screams out ambition with hundreds of millions of pounds worth of funding...and Pellegrini is nowhere near Mourinho's class.

Top class really only defines one manager there.

So you think we can get Mourinho do you?

Pelligrini won the real madrid record ever points total trophy mate, yanno it's like the everton record ever premier league points total trophy you like so much, only not using an arbitary cut off point as if the league only started at the date of the premiership and well at a team like madrid that has had ome amazing teams and managers.

He has achieved CL qualification with 4 seperate teams and the QF or SF with 3 of those teams, he has won leagues and cups in serious leagues and never been relegated

Is he Mourinho level - no, is he a million miles higher than Martinez - yes and to think otherwise is daft

BTW, nice to see you appear after we finally won a game, could say that it is exactly the sort of behaviour you have laughed at people for int he past and called out though - only showing when the result suited

I think the answer to your point would be that with the failures under RM we have become toxic to any manager wishing to progress.

I think you overestimate how much notice the top pros take of Twitter comments directed at them - I'd say most will just block any abuse and not read it, if indeed they access it at all.

Truth is mate, some people are saying we'll get Pellegrini and equally you're saying we couldn't even get the manager of the local Wetherspoons to take the job - the truth is, we don't know who it'll be, at all.

None of us KNOW for sure what machinations are in place for a potential new manager - you may be right, you may be wrong.

Why do people bother engaging with this crackpot? Wasting both his own life and yours with this nonsense

Suggest just don't engage and it will dry up......

Pellegrini - does he need Man City / Real Madrid spending? If so we are not the club for him

That is like saying what was the point of dismissing Walker and Smith.
