All the anger and hate should be directed at the board

They could sort this mess out very easily, Its them who are choosing to let this drag out longer than its needed

They are an absolute disgrace doing this to him. It's torture for everybody including Mr Martinez i'm sure (apart from the fact of course he is being fabulously paid).

It is totally unnecessary and makes them look like they don't give a toss.

After June 1st he has to pay his own taxi fare...

It's a really peculiar situation with regards to their apparent lack of action if the speculation is true that Martinez will certainly lose his position.

With every passing day it appears that the fan base are becoming ever disillusioned with regards to our position and importantly to the board.

The anger against Martinez is dwindling away and it's starting to be vented towards their failure to act; that just damages the club even more.

It would be sensible for them to just finally tie the noose around his neck and then there may be some more optimism. Instead it's worsening...

... and their only making the fans question not just Martinez but the board.

I'd like to thank Mr Martinez for his passion in Everton and trying to break the little old Everton routine by telling the press we should be winning titles.

He's not the man to make it that happen seemingly but I'm sure not all of you have lost your manners and sense of Evertonianism and will wish him well in the future and not act like a child denied a flake ice cream on a Sunday evening.

Absolutely this for me.
I don't hate the man at all, and he has tried his best. But he's not good enough unfortunately, out of his depth and is becoming a bit of a laughing stock now with his comments pre & post match. Its now at the point where I have dodged his last few press conferences and post match chats and just read up on here what he has said because I just want to burn my ears when he chats his nonsense.

Imagine the damage he will cause if he is incharge next season. Lukaku and Stones are gone. And if he uses the money to buy more Niasse standard players then we are into deep deep trouble. Let alone the dreadful league form and history since the start of last season.

When was the last time he actually said he was targeting the title?

I remember him saying it at the very beginning, and even Moyes said something similar at his first press conference.

I don't think many of us hate Roberto... he is a very likeable personality and clearly embraced the culture of the club. The problem is that no one trusts the board to do what is required unless we force the issue. The only way to do that is to chant, protest and make banners calling for the managers head... in truth it shouldn't have come to this. Had he gone after Wembley the unpleasantness of Bournemouth, Leicester and what is to come could have been avoided.

He is a relegation specialist. He relegated Wigan and he would have relegated us with one injury to Lukaku.

He will relegate the next team he goes to, if its a Championship club they will be relegated to league 1, if its a league 1 club
they will be relegated to league 2.

Martinez does not see this as a negative or failure, infact he sees nothing as negative, relegation to him
is just an occupational hazzard to how he dictates his team play .... `relegation philosophy` phenonemal ....

From day one to his last day little Carl he targeted the league title for Everton.

It's just a shame his teams can't defend and usually get easily beaten by lesser teams.
Turns out he actually said this in January:

With disarming frankness, Martínez accepts most of these charges. “As Everton manager, I take responsibility; we have to be a winning team,” he says. “We should be winning games and winning titles, not just looking to compete and hope for a win. Winning is in this club’s DNA and it has been too long since we won a title. We have the talent at this club: we are not quite the finished article yet, otherwise we would be top of the league, but we have to try to win something in the next five months.”

It's an interesting debate, the whole ambition thing. I would argue that his incredibly lazy approach to management cancels out any empty platitudes he comes out with to the press.

A Moyes in sheep's clothing this fella.

What he says and what he's capable of are two very different things.

I see no sense in the discharging of his services before the season end.

There is likely a financial implication primarily.

Secondly whomever is lined up is either:

Already in a job so little point in announcing anything yet ... or ... Has had the tip off from the Board & is quite feasibly putting his back room team together & compiling / setting the wheels in motion potential transfer targets.

Far too much upheaval around Finch Farm given we are so close to the final game.

Football fans are becoming a more & more impatient lot since the advent of social media - the delay is quite logical, or it is to me anyhow.
