Just saw the bbc interview. Lots of football insider info I wasn't aware of, apparently at this stage of the season you don't talk about results but only the games in front of you, also we haven't recovered from the fa cup semi final and finally we can beat norwich and give our season a good feeling.

Can't wait for Sunday now

You must have missed the derby then x

I didn't. Again, I covered it for work. It's painful, but maybe due to covering sport for a living I've become a bit more detached from it...

Plenty of my friends are Liverpool fans, mind. I dunno, I just avoid sport quite a bit when I'm not working, or tend to anyway I suppose. Hard to separate the line between working and free time if not sometimes!

Not going on Sunday - will turn up at the pub before the game as I always do and have a great laugh with my sons, bro, cousin, nephews..cant bring myself to watch it at Goodison - we all feel the same. Perhaps more absences from Sunday may say something to the board rather than vitriol against RM and the team. Protest banners are fine ..like the idea of silence for those who go to the game but hatred should not be used as an emotion against a club I and all Evertonians have loved for so long.. would love to be persuaded to go ...:confused:

Getting ready to clear his locker out as he is part of Martinez coaching staff.

I actually said to my dad earlier, that I'd get rid of them all (coaching staff wise).

All well and good Ferguson is a legend, and I'm sure he'd be back at some point. However, what has he actually added...

I mean, I'm not blaming him, not at all. But he is part of the staff/backroom team.

Their brainwashing us into thinking finishing 11th is good now Nev.

Maybe, just maybe, things have changed.

Nobody in their right mind would dump him without assurances that a new man is as good as in place. Moshiri would look like a bit of a chump if he binned Martinez off, and then struggled to get in his list of targets.

Just dont release your list of targets. Binning Martinez is the minimum. If you get to the bottom of the list moyes will still be there waiting. Not what we want but better than what we have

Most of them Evertonians.

I'm as unhappy about the club at the moment as anyone else.

But it's really not the end of the world and I find the whole 'people are laughing' thing a bit childish...

Something needs sorting. And quick. The players have been awful but Martinez has well and truly lost the plot.

Unprofessionalism breeds unprofessionalism.

Management set the tone.

Its why we have such a good forum and website. Management set the tone.

If something is unacceptable. You can bet @GrandOldTeam lets people know about it.

That BBC interview.

He goes on about the goals.

First goal, yeh he admits it's disappointing (Joel seemed to struggle to remember how to walk)

But then the second and third he puts down to luck.

Earlier in the season, a lot of the goals we conceded were a bit of both bad luck and bad marking.

Tonight, it was all just down to a total inability to defend that has slowly got worse over the course of the season.

He can't accept it and that will be his downfall as a manager, ultimately.
