Despite what people write here, I still highly doubt when the game starts they won't hurt if we are losing.
Sure, people may well expect to lose and then start the fume against the Manager when we play badly or lose, but that's because they are hurting.
We all want Everton to win every match.
That's why we are here. I truly believe that ;)

Just look at the last 6 games before west ham...then after the west ham game (a game that if we were told we would lose 3-2 with ten men noone would be surprised) then see how many posters come out of the woodwork when we lose.

Maybe so. That still doesn't mean they wanted Everton to lose then, or lose against Chelsea tonight.
Once the game starts we all support our beloved team.
During the week it's just keyboard blah blah.

They weren't said he edited them. Press the arrow. They link back to completely different posts
Not sure about that. Didnt think i'd think this but look at some of the posts in here and you'd think people would rather we lost every game or won narrowly by 1-0 rather than putting teams to the sword and having unfortunate results which can be rectified as he keeps building.

Alot of Moyes fans here who probably arent aware of Howard Kendalls time with us which all was going sour until he had a bit of luck...

Theres a lot of similarities in the managers ability to bring players into the club and mould them into a team which can destroy anyone on its day...he just needs time and luck.

The scandalous thing really is that some fans are giving him more stick than mike walker ever got and no doubt want him to fail as they prefer to finish 5th or 6th every season.

5th or 6th is nothing...nowhere.

i want to finish 1st, this takes time.

First of all the question of fans wanting Everton to lose was asked answered and dismissed at least twice yesterday. Nobody has said that.

What teams have we really put to the sword. Sunderland, villa, Newcastle. A real collection of gems. The unfortunate results list is a lot longer and to say it can be rectified is a huge assumption as he seems incapable of rectifying it in the last 2 years.

Why do you automatically assume he's a Howard Kendall rather than a Mike walker where's the evidence to back it up?

5th or 6th is Europa league, yeah pain in the Arsenal but useful for improving UEFA coefficient and getting the clubs name out there.

5th or 6th is also about 9m in prize money that's a lot of wages.

And the better we do the more live games we get next season. At 1 million per game shown that's essential.
It's a very short term view to say it's 1st or nowhere

I wish people would stop using a run of games where we beat Newcastle, Bournemouth b team, Carlisle and Stoke as some shining example of a good run.

If he'd lost to any of the first 3 of those he'd be gone already

Only as bad an example as one substitution proving anything in a game we are down to ten men.
I'm certainly not suggesting people are turning up tomorrow hoping we lose but one person who wants Martinez out posted something that if you lay it out simply was... The atmosphere was great because we were one nil up and annoyed at a sending off, then something happened we didn't agree with... and that was that.
If people choose to be optimistic on the back of improved defensive performances over a series of games then good on them. People want to get so wound up about a poor substitution that they stop getting.behind the team. Up to them.
Chelsea will cause us problems today, players will make mistakes, you got to assume both managers will too. Up to us how we react during the match but personally I think unbridled passion and optimism never did much harm.

I think most of the press are a bunch of tits, I am hoping Martinez sticks it to them by winning the fa cup and several of the next games.
End of the day its about Everton we have a lot to look forward to now, and not about one man, I hope Martinez addresses some of his issues, a good start would be zipping it in these press interviews. For me he needs to show he can win ugly and park the bus

Parts of me wants us to win the cup just so we can put this silly Moyes is better nonsense to bed..
I don't think anyone is seriously saying Moyes is better, it's more then likely just a reaction to some folk who say that he was the worst manager to ever walk the earth. Moyes was extremely flawed In his tactics and to blind and far to set in his ways to ever change or comprise in any way, now who does that reminded me of?! I'm not for one second saying I would want the guy back (good God no!). I just find it amusing that the people who hate Moyes the most are nearly always Martinez's biggest supporters, could it be that you hate our ex manager that much that you would overlook ANY faults of our current manager? Certainly seams that way at times, from some at any rate. There are none so blind as those who will not see, comes to mind.
